Great presentation. Thank you. I am about to embark on a retrofit myself so your experience is invaluable. As far as payback period is concerned, wouldn’t it be nice to have a £ figure for the additional wellbeing felt when living in a more comfortable home. If we had a cost on living in an uncomfortable home, people would be rushing to retrofit and build better in the first place. Cheers

Great presentation, thanks for putting all that together! I think I used the same floor insulating company, and it looks like the installation in your photo suffers from the same problems as the room-in-roof insulating company's job? ie, the insulation is too narrow for the gap. Similar issues in the installation they did for me unfortunately. We will shortly move to a 1970s house with many of the same construction features you show in this video, so this was very interesting for us!
