Just got my hands on a 50,000km subaru 2015 outback premium 2.5i and love it. Finding your videos inspiring to take this thing out on an adventure. Subbed.

By the way. There is an attachment you can put in your car which cancels auto/stop start feature. If you hate it maybe get one of those. I have learnt to live with it by pressing the ignition and the auto/stop start button on at the same time which effectively cancels it. Not sure about your model though, as its all touch screen based.

@Slayer_of_truth Nice! Congratulations on your car! Go explore with it. Theres a setting to turn the auto start/stop off but i just dont like how you have to do every single time you turn the car on. I like the way the touch screen looks but I wish it had some physical buttons for certain functions. I did find that having everything integrated on the touch screen makes it dangerous to change things while driving because you have to take your eyes off the road to change anything like the temperature controls, your music, off road controls and even the heated seats. You don't realize how important physical controls are until you don't have them lol Have fun on your adventures and be safe👍🏽

@@youraveragejoeadventureslets hope they bring it all back to buttons for the 2025. I doubt it though

@Slayer_of_truth this generation just came out 2022, so it will still be a couple more years before a new redesign. In the meantime, they should definitely update the screen to be less laggy. 👍🏽

Can you manually turn off the eyesight unlike the auto start/stop?
@youraveragejoeadventures8 ай бұрын
Yes you can, you can turn all the driving aids off if you didn't want any of them on. 👍🏽

What has your average highway MPG been
@youraveragejoeadventures9 ай бұрын
The best I got was 23 mpgs but that was all highway miles. The worse was about 13 mpgs. My lifetime mpg average is about 18-19 mpgs. We do have a huge cargo box on top of our roof rack though that kills our mpgs.

I watched your video where you cite things you dislike about it. Your infotaintment system is annoyingly lagging, your issues with the safety features are worrysome and dangereous, but the auto stop although unobtrusive but inconvenient. I have a '24 Crosstrek, but I miss my Forester. Your videos are informative.

Thanks for watching. We had a 2019 Forester Sport and wished we had kept that instead. We have since traded this car in to better fit our adventure needs. As our adventures grew, the trails we encountered have also increased in difficulty. If you haven't seen it, check out what we traded it in for here. kzbin.info/www/bejne/aaS2ZGR9hp2seposi=90bD9P-yNb2BY0Ot
