Our oven broke while cooking dinner the other night and something that always works for us in a pinch is Annie’s Mac and cheese with whatever frozen veg we have on hand, our toddler loves it (usually only gets it when all else has failed-so kind of rare treat) and we give a piece of fruit as a side, another quick thing that is easy for us is tofu, it can stay in the fridge for a while and takes in the flavor of whatever you sauté it with, just cut it into the size chunks you want and stir fry it with whatever you have on hand, love your videos and attitude toward being a mom! :)

I have a 20 month old and an almost four month old. Sometimes this is just how life is, pouched and simple meals. When I was pregnant I started showing my baby how to open the pantry and choose her snacks from the bottom section that was just for her. That way I wouldn’t have to keep getting up to grab things for her. Worked like a charm. A lot of times we have to do what works for us.

Thank you so much, I was feeling such a bad mum for just cutting bananas with yogurt and oats cereals, or sausage-egg omelete with bread and smoothie ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️

@paullehmann6262 жыл бұрын
@@pcuell00 I am sorry, I am being really shitty here, but those smoothies contain way too much sugar, especially for am 18 month old. Sweet smoothies in general are problematic, because they are digested way quicker than whole fruits and therefore blood sugar level rises quicker. As a treat a smoothie might be ok, but too much of them or on a regular basis increases the risk of diabetes. Sorry, I dont mean to be annoying, just trying to spread some infos

Why do many Americans let their children watch TV when they eat? Meals are supposed to be social. You should also focus on your food and notice the signals from your body. How does food taste? When am I full? I firmly believe that young children and possibly even adults are overwhelmed by so much input.
@eliquertier45582 жыл бұрын
Are you a parent? Lol yeah eating in front of the tv isn’t ideal but having a toddler is batshit crazy and exhausting 24/7 so you do what you can. No one is perfect. Also it’s absolutely not just an American thing. Good for you if you have every meal at the table but damn cut parents a break. Arrow is obvious ridiculously well cared for and loved
@paullehmann6262 жыл бұрын
@@eliquertier4558 Yes, I am a working parent of a toddler. And guess what, I was I child once. And even more astonishing, kids have been raised in times where no TV was around. Am not saying, that TV is evil. But why eat in front of the TV with a child? I believe, Arrow and Brittany would have a great lunch time together even without the TV. I don't see, why Arrow would turn into an evil toddler monster during lunch time without the TV on. I am critizing watching TV while eating. Studies show that small children might be overwhelmed by TV itself, and especially during meal times, they should be able to fully attent to what they eat and the signals from their body.
@AlinaNoelle2 жыл бұрын
I agree 100%. I think it’s just what a lot of people do nowadays because it’s easy. I also don’t want to shame anyone, but I also don’t think it’s necessary while they’re eating. To each their own I guess, but people get so offended when you make it a point.
@eliquertier45582 жыл бұрын
I wasn’t offended I just think it’s unnecessary to come on to someones video and make a comment like that when they’ve been so open with their mental health and struggles. It came off as mum shamey and I gave my opinion just like you gave yours.

I’ve seen way too many of these comments. Sometimes we do the best we can and that means screen time to keep some calm and peace. I’m a single mum of a 17 month old and I also suffer from endometriosis.
