Do you agree with what Katt Williams said about Tiffany Haddish?

Lame. Nobody focuses on the fact that he said he loved her in the same interview. He gave a straight critique of her work and position in the industry which was that her jokes weren’t original and she hasn’t proven herself as a standup comic and that she’s getting opportunities he felt other black females who’ve been in the game for a long time cannot get such as lanel and he proceeded to name others. Oh wait, what’s that? Did Katt Williams speak highly of black female comics!? Yeah he did. The whole point of him critiquing Tiff’s work was to compare it to black female veterans who will never get the same opportunities because they aren’t pretty enough and don’t want to sleep with white men. So cherry picking and race/gender baiting is dumb in the context of this situation. Are you all really gonna act like cardi b or any other ghetto reality tv star or cousin you have couldn’t act the role Haddish played in Girl’s Trip? And I love Tiff. Happy for her success, cried watching her breakfast club interview and think she has a light. But I do think it’s ignorant to disregard that Katt said he loved her during that interview and then turning his thoughts on why Hollywood gave her a platform into a story of him slamming her and putting down black females so that it suits your own goals and agenda which is to shame a black man for having an honest opinion.

Mary Alexander I think it’s very impressive that he owns all of his work. Just wow. And you know how I stumbled upon his recent interview? I started clicking through his interviews after hearing Kathy Griffin on Breakfast Club. For those who don’t know, Kathy was fired from CNN, accused to be a part of ISIS and personally victimized after releasing a photo of a Trump mask with ketchup on its face to symbolize blood. She collaborated with an artist to create it and was punished for exorcising her 1st amendment right. The president and Hollywood chewed her up and spat her out. In the interview, she said no women in the industry including comics reached out to support her. -looking at you Loni. She also said the first to call and most of only three supportive peers was Katt Williams. So the irony of it all is that I found and listened to this Katt Williams interview because of watching an interview in which a female comic expressed deep gratitude for his support, love and continual guidance through the worst period of her life as a professional and an individual being.

Yes...listened to the whole thing and think it was corny how he spoke about her and the other comedians (J. Carmichael and Lil Rel)....And then bows down to her at the Emmy's. Personally, I don't find him to be funny, but Luenell (sp.) a comedian he talked about not getting her props if funny as heck to me! He also lied so much about his accolades and the fact that Tiffany Haddish was married to a white man....And last but not least, if he felt that way about Monique being "downed" in the industry, why can't he help her out since he's claims to be so accomplished! At the end of the day, someone thinks Tiffany Haddish is funny...she stays Booked and Busy...I'm done now.😂😂😂😂

that may be but what does a black man criticizing other black comedians do to solve the problem. If we don't lift each other up, and be proud, and happy at one if ours success then who is? I can remember a time when the only black people you saw on television was Flip Wilson, and Diahann Carol, so this is nothing new. We can see, and say this in all fields in this country. This is a rascist country, and they will allow some through to represent but we have to acknowledge they have to hustle to get on top, and stay on top. Katt said some of the comedians he named weren't successful because they were ugly. I disagree, Bernie Mac, Kevin Hart, George Washington, many comedians are not attractive but they are really talented, and talent beats attractiveness. Many say she is ghetto, but Luenell, Mo'Nique, Miss Laura, Adele Gibbons, Sommore, and Sheryl Underwood are very raw, raunchy, and ghetto. They have to stand out from male comedians. Why is Tiffany Haddish being singled out. I can think for myself, I don't need Katt Williams to tell me how to think. He said if you go on a comedy tour and have to tell jokes for an hour, then you're a good comedian. I say if you do that you should be able to do your skit by wrote. It should be memorized. Katt wasn't critiquing, he was hating.

So sick and tired of the media trashing Kat for telling the truth about how Hollywood works. And the clip you showed was just a sound bite and not the whole thing he was saying. In fact he said he like her and had nothing against her. Any Black female comic could have done her role. She got picked because she was trolling the system by saying she likes white men. And Hollywood is controlled by white men. I have nothing but more respect for Kat now. Tiffany is willing to sell her soul for fame and money just like Kevin Hart and that's what Hollywood wants. They did it to Richard Pryor. Richard used to be this bad ass hardcore comic. Then Hollywood came in with their money and turned him into the face making fool he was in all his movies. The only good movie Pryor did was his last which was Harlem Nights. Kevin Hart plays the same role in all his movies and so will Tiffany. A couple of loud mouthed buffoons.

I never heard of Tiffany before Girls Trip, don't know any of her jokes. I'm glad she's making her $$ in Hollywood BUT she is not funny to me, not in the least. When I look at comics, she is definitely not one I'd pay to see. That's just me; However, like I said, I'm happy for anyone making their coins but she is not my cup of tea and I think he was stating facts not hate.

Taking pointers from a seasoned comedian SHOULD be empowering..prove your ability to tour. I know, personally, I can't recall any Tiffany Haddish lines..the grapefruit scene was memorable but not funny, just crass. If you're a Katt Williams fan, you know he's intense and passionate.. that's just how he speaks lol. I didn't see anger at all. My thing is this. Katt has misplaced anger. He is missing some valuable points. For instance, just because you're funny doesnt mean you are a good business person behind the scenes or pleasant to work with. People aren't always likable. Also, Tiffany doesn't "book" herself! She auditions and gets the role! Maybe the reason your "crew" of comedians arent getting "booked" like Tiffany is because they're on "your" team and you making so many career mistakes is tainting theirs and making people not wan't to book them. No comedians under Katt is funnier than him so he gets all the major work etc. It's a "birds of a feather, flock together" thing. As a leader, he makes his whole team look bad, and how he views his people and women. He needs to stop being so judgemental like he's always been a great role model with no issues in his career. He needs a good psychotherapist because he has deep trauma going on.

I don’t think she’s all that funny either. But I do find her to be refreshing and interesting to watch. His critique of her is not my problem. I think people are focusing on the wrong part I think my problem is that he said the only reason why people like her is because she wants to sleep with the white man that was uncalled for and it had nothing to do with coaching her performance it had nothing to do with her being funny there was no reason to say that. And for the most part that kind of follows a pattern of his when talking about her he pops off with these things that did not need to be said yes other people probably could’ve succeeded in that role but that role was given to her not every role he played is so unique to him like what is that?? I feel like he suffers from a form of jealousy because he’s very talented and sometimes those talents are not appreciated and he sees other comedians who are less talented being appreciated he gets angry which is fine but he didn’t have to pop off like this

I like her but, I’m being honest. I think she is too over the top and it ruins the comedy for me. Kevin Hart is short and loud and that’s how he gets his laughs. I’m not into him either, comedy wise. I like both Katt and Tiffany. I find them both funny. Some people don't find Tiff funny because she supposedly plays into the black women stereotypes but that's just them. I listened to the whole interview, he's of course entitled to his opinion good or bad. I greatly admire that he controls his work, but while he had some good points, why is Tiffany being held responsible for the success or failure of these other comics? She's worked her way up just like everybody else and she's trying to prove her worth as a comedian. It's not her fault that other comics haven't succeeded. They had their chance. And last i checked, most comedians use jokes that play into stereotypes esp in the A.American community.
