Transitioning to law school can be a challenge. In this webinar, 2Ls and 3Ls from the Harvard Association for Law and Business (HALB) share some of the highs and lows of their 1L experiences, what they have learned, and what they wish they knew before 1L.
[00:50] Introductions
[02:32] How did you find your 1L year? Was 1L as terrible as people made it out to be?
[07:07] What were your study habits and routines like? Did you outline? When did you outline? Did you have a study group?
[12:47] And what is a total lie and misconception about studying for 1L year? What’s some study advice that you would avoid?
[16:15] When you were in 1L year - what were your non-study habits and routines like? Were you sleeping? Were you going to the gym? Did you have a “life” outside of law school?
[21:09] What clubs and activities were you guys involved in, in your 1L year?
[25:55] HALB Website information
[28:34] Half of last semester was virtual. How was that experience and what advice would you give these 1Ls about how to survive in “virtual school”?
[31:35] What was your 1L summer job and what was your application process and timeline like?
[47:25] Any information or insights about applying to HALB as a 1L Rep?
