A giant shield that looks exactly like the walls, and perfectly fits the width of corridors that it could stand at the opening of a corridor and make it look like just another wall. And use that to stealthily cut off intruders into closed corridors, and eventually to ram them down and crush them.

“The Minotaur knows the labyrinth well” That’s only the modern versions. The original Minotaur from Greek mythology was horrible at mazes. It was trapped in there for years.

Sure, but thematically, they should have axes. The original minotaur myth is poetically about the Greeks conquering the Minoan civilization, which had a ton of bull iconography and used an axe as a symbol of authority.

@@TheSteam02 It's still a big blade on the end of a stick, either way. Just give it a topspike like a halberd and you'll have the exact same effect as a sword staff. Marcus is really just being contrarian here.

@@farkasmactavishyes, but an axe is more for hacking things with wider swings, wheras a sword is typically for slashing and (if the blade permits it) stabbing. as for adding a spike at the end, yes, that would allow for stabbing as well, but just stabbing will only get you so far

@@farkasmactavish Not really. He is talking about practicality instead of thematics. The Buster Sword makes thematic sense for Cloud, but anyone saying it's practical probably dropped it on their own head after trying to lift it. Minotaurs are not exclusively presented with the Greek thematics, so presenting a more practical option isn't some wildly contrarian thing, it's just presenting something that's not practical. He's also limited by the 60 second limit of yt shorts, so he can't talk about both the thematics and more practical alternative in the same video.

Most of the time Minotaurs are depicted as essentially body builders so it’s probably hard for them to use many weapons. Honestly though just a big club would probably be best

One of those two handed dueling shields, with spikes on it. Combine that with a collapsible spear and short sword, fantasy variations of Greek Hoplite weapons.

I'd just give them a suit of armour with a thicker protection on the head, shoulders, and hands. Can't break through the armour, can't vault over it. So just need to take it.

We also need to arm a minataur with a ballista or a bunch of crossbows because it knows the layout, also wire traps, wolf pits, if we sided with minataur we could make the labirinth so much better

I feel like WH40k gets it right with the Ogryns: something brutish and tough but simple to use. I feel like a pole sword would take too much skill for a Minotaur to use.

Yeah... most depicitions of minotaurs don't depict them as very bright. More like huge, hugely strong aggressive animals so using what weaker beings would use as tools only as weapons such as two handed hammers, feeling axes, etc. The closest thing can think of to this which would keep that is mind would be a trident.
