What went Wrong? What am I gonna do now?
I broke Carmen at burnout Rivals but how bad? Will I be able to harvest the parts we need from a couple engines I bought on marketplace? Are these engines even worth anything in parts?
I gotta tear into these engines and see what I have to work with before I dig deeper into Carmen and the carnage I caused. It was totally worth it though.
What do you think is wrong with Carmen and do you think I should use parts off these engines to fix her if I can.
Should we try to put the 430 back together and get it running with the parts I have laying around?

Sorry to see Carmen Electra will be down for a while, tough break man 😕 That 455 on the engine stand looks like a '73, could maybe be a 74', but I know 73' intake looks exactly like that with the EGR rails along each side of the valve covers. All of the 400-430-455 engines have the same stroke (3.90) and should be the same. From a post on v8buick "The 400, 430 and 455 cranks interchange...no design changes there from '67 - '76, all nodular iron." Well I hope it all works out man!

It always stinks breaking stuff but if it ain't broke you can't fix it! Next step is to pull the engine from Carmen and see what the damage is

I would like to see an 11 to 1 compression Buick engine with a decent camshaft to see just how strong it can be with Stage 1 everything else.

I'm thinking that may be the path forward. The next step is to pull the 455 in Carmen and commit to the plan forward!

Yes the 400,430,and455 use the same crank. just different bore.

I've got 2 good cranks now and possibly enough parts to put together the 430 block. just need bearings and rings. might toss it together and see what I get
