If anyone was curious about the Navajo code talkers: in ww2 the marines decided to utilize Navajo soldiers to be radio men since the Navajo language isn’t written and only taught orally and since the Navajo didn’t make up a huge percentage of American citizens the Japanese had never heard the language before. It was so successful that the enemy didn’t understand a single thing being said over the radios. Fun fact this moment in history is why marines call pens and flashlights moonbeams and ink sticks as there was no Navajo word for either object and was made up on the fly
