Thanks for your tutorials, they've given me the push I needed to try some enamel paints. Got some AK Interactive Streaking Grime to have a go at weathering gold, can't wait :)

Great stuff bud :-) I have a couple of Enamel paints for effects myself, I also use ground cover effects can just mix them with a bit of water to make them more liquid and use them as splatter effects as well. I also want to get into some oil paints soon as well. Also a big fan of AK stuff in general. Their price to quality is great!!

Awesome videos, love your work! How would you go about making a "lighter" coloured army look grimdark? I would love to see a tutorial for Dark Angels / Deathwing to see how it could be applied to green and bone colour armour

I use testors enamel paints since my uncle has a bunch. I keep trying to find some sort of video to explain how to use them since I'm still new to miniature painting

hey, so if i get odourless thinner made by Abteilung 502 for example, can i use it to clean up enamel products like Tamiya panel liner for example? Thank you for answering.
@Gravehammer
@Gravehammer 3 жыл бұрын
Yes! Odourless Thinner from AB will work perfectly for the job, it works both on enamels and oils. 🙂

@@Gravehammer thank you for the reply 😀. what do you think of using Abteilung fast dry thinner vs. odourless thinner? which is better?
@Gravehammer
@Gravehammer 3 жыл бұрын
@@MF-kv8cn Odourless Thinner is pretty fast to dry, especially if you use a hairdryer. The fast dry one I haven't used at all, but I would wager that is for the occasions when you gotta push a faster pace :)

Hello! Great video! There are some various MID and AK paints. Doest it matter what kind of, for example, Streaking Grime is it? I mean, in this example, can I use other Streaking Grime than number 1203 and get a similar effect?
@Gravehammer
@Gravehammer 4 жыл бұрын
Thanks a lot! The products vary similar to other paints, the main difference being color. Some enamel effect paints such that have "DEPOSITS" in their name, form brighter pools of pigment when they dry, but for the so to speak "Streaking Grime" goes, they act all very similar, only difference is just the color. My recommendation is commonly the AK interactive 012 Streaking Grime (albeit they just changed the recipe) and MIG 1203 Streaking Grime. MIG has that distinct brownish finish, while AK nowadays is more towards greenish brown. :)

Oletko kokeillut suomalaisen kirjakaupan hajusteetonta ohenninta? Ostin sellaista omaan grimdark maalailuun, mutta hämmentää kun monessa paikkaa puhutaan white spiriteistä, sellaista mun mielestä ei kaupasta paljon edes saa.

Great tutorial! What kind of mask do you recommend when working with spirits?
@Gravehammer
@Gravehammer 4 жыл бұрын
With using regular spirits with a brush, I don't use a mask but have decent ventilation on the room. Unless you spray it on with airbrush, the evaporation is slow and not a danger to your health. With airbrushing, I use a FFP3 mask with filters to avoid any problems. 🙂
