Crane created the winningest era in Astros history. He has spent more and accomplished more than any other team owner. It doesn't mean that every decision made worked out, but most did.

I think they'll be watching Dezenzo, Whitcomb, and Leon in Spring. Someone has a chance to be the Astros LF. Whitcomb played 20 games at 3B last year. In 19 games he had one error. He had a better first 40 AB's than Tucker or Bregman. I'm not going to judge a player on one game.

Crane has Astros best interest at heart, Boras does not. I don’t trust Boras at all. I root for the team. If a player wants to leave for $. So be it. I won’t root for them anymore. It’s just fandom.

Boras does his job... players that want to play the free-agency game want the best. When they get tired of playing 'chicken' with their career, they take control back. Some win big.

If there are any Astros fans waiting for Crane to sell the team they’re just never going to be satisfied and have turned into idiots. The players want the big contracts with no accountability to outperform them. Had Correa taken his 5 year contract at $31 million a year and performed he would’ve still been young enough to sign another contract. Just like Altuve did. And who really thinks Soto, a .285 hitter with poor defense, is worth $765 million?? I mean, come on man? The Astros will still win the division and their pitching will take them a long way.

I really don't understand the Crane hate from fans. Man have us a run that never happens in baseball.

Crane has been the best and most successful astros owner ever, he ALWAYS stuck to his guns and he was very lucky to always come on top, Mr. Crane is not a player's feelings , he's a smart business man who brought us lots of winning years, none of the big players he let walk has earned their millionare pay check with their new team (except Cole) this run is not over yet folks! I also think they will sign that cuban right fieldet from the orioles to a nice fair 3 yeat deal, that guy hit 44 bombs last year!

I agree, but 180m-189m for Bagman is pretty stupid. Bags and Boras might as well both retire if 160m isn't enough to play a game for a team you supposedly love. BS! We over paid Altuve with his stupid base running, but Altuve has always been a class act for us and never had just coasted. He's always like a little kid loving the game so I'm ok with paying Altuve, not that anything is up to me.

Jim Crane brought 7 ALCS, 4 WS, and 2 WS championships to Houston. Meyers had a low batting average, but he did get 61RBI. Dubon had about 35 RBI. If Meyers and McCormick can hit 15HR and drive in 60+ rbi the Astros will be fine. Neither are superstars, but if they bring average bats, they're defense will make the OF ok.
@Mario-it3po4 сағат бұрын
Meyers and McCormick need to be a platoon pair. Only play one player at a time, not both in the game at the aame time. Have 1 or 2 of the rookies man the outfield, and bring in a free agent outfielder if only 1 rookie is gonna play.

Never overplay for players. And no long contracts that are guaranteed. This is fundamental and smart. Yes, in the process your best player(s) will be gone. That's part of the game. What has George Springer done? What has Carlos Correa done? Breggy will be an average player with top notch defense. Garrett Cole win a world title? But, I must say, Kyle Tucker might be one player the Astros will regret. Who will replace him? Santander? We shall see.
@defcon254418 сағат бұрын
Kyle is an average player.
@JosueMartinez-cz4ct18 сағат бұрын
@@defcon2544bruh, he was on pace on hitting 60 homers last season before the injury, if that’s what average players do, are elite players hitting 100 homers a year?

Can smith might be the one that replaces Tucker production in the end. Hopefully that’s someone we can make a team cornerstone

@TexanUSMC808919 сағат бұрын
Agents get paid a percentage of a player's contract. Of course, the agent wants bigger contracts. It's on the teams for paying it. Pujols was way overpaid. Trout is still way overpaid. Soto has a ridiculous contract.
@Slinginghotlead00718 сағат бұрын
Uhhhh, he literally created a Dynasty, so I’m not sure what else you want the dude to do?? 9 of 10 years in the playoffs? Record 7 consecutive ALCS games, he’s the only Astros owner to put 4 teams into the WS and the only one to win not 1, but 2 WS. And his template has completely broken MLB with them doing literally everything to beat the Astros. Sure has gotten expensive for the Dodgers, Yankees and Mets to beat them. And here they are still doing their thing. Remember, it was Correa and Bregman’s choice to walk. Altuve got his contract, played it out, and chose to stay here with his next contract. Netting him $324 million total value and the highest paid 2nd baseman in MLB. So please stop acting or talking like Crane hasn’t spent money.

Scott Boras is simply wrong!!! Jim Crane is completely correct!!! Bregman, at this stage of his playing career, is not worth a 6 year plus contract for $200 million plus!!! To me, he is worth a 3, maybe 4 year contract for $25 million per. That's it.
@bigcheesetxmedia18 сағат бұрын
Boras is a fool. Tried to get the Astros to handicap their success by overpaying Bregman more than the original overpay offer. I'm starting to think Bregman is going to have to take less money elsewhere.
