পরিভাষার উন্নয়নে ছাত্রপাঠ্য পুস্তক তথা টেক্সটবুক আর আনন্দবাজারের মতন পত্রিকাগুলো কাজ করা উচিত। পরিভাষা তো কেবল অভিধানে সীমাবদ্ধ থাকতে পারে না, সেটার চর্চা করতে হবে। দুর্ভাগ্যবশত আনন্দবাজার পত্রিকাও দেখি আজকাল বিজ্ঞানের মৌলিক বিষয়েও বরং ইংরেজিই রেখে দিচ্ছে। আমাদের এ বাংলাদেশে বড়জোর দ্বাদশ শ্রেণি পর্যন্ত ঠেলেঠুলে পরিভাষার প্রয়োগ থাকে। তাও ততটা আকর্ষণীয় করে শিক্ষার্থীর পাতে তুলে দেওয়া হয় না।

Is there any unemployed young person studied in English medium ? So why allergy about English ? We are not Chinese, try to understand our reality.

Prof. Azom didn't raise the question of rate of employment among students who have been educated in the English medium. Rather he asked whether these very students are making any real contribution to the society, i.e. policy-making, governance, and so on. Statistics, in fact, say they are not. The stat Prof. Azom cites suggests that almost one-fifth of the national income is earned by foreign nationals who work on top levels at different corporate houses here in Bangladesh and ultimately send this money to their respective countries leaving no effect on our local economy whatsoever.
