This video kind of touched on it within the global power dynamic point, but I've not seen any arguments about how the benefits from the singularity would be accessible to all humanity and not just the original creator, or the corporation, or the government or maybe just the rich. As if it becomes so advanced that we can't comprehend, it most likely mean it's creator wouldn't require anything again, so what is the incentive to share that with the entire human race? They wouldn't likely "need" the wealth by selling access as it could likely "give" them everything they require anyway. So unless they are extremely altruistic what would push them not to keep it secret between their family, friends and colleagues, reaping the benefits on the quiet, while the masses carrying on unaware. I guess you could argue, in order to achieve everything they could desire from the AGI they may need to be collaborations to implement. Or you could also argue other people/organisations/governments would also "achieve the AGI singularity" even if not the first, so it could eventually spread the "benefits" through humans that way. I just find a lot of content focuses on things like breakthroughs of cures for all diseases, extend life-spans, free energy etc but never addresses any ways that those breakthroughs would be shared with everyone and not just kept to the "most powerful."

I can see public transportation, becoming completely automated with AI. For example, for people with disabilities and visually impaired like me I imagine that one day. We’ll have a public transportation service that uses AI robots, I imagine that they’ll have a phone number. You can call and an automated voice picks up and says hello. Welcome to and whatever the service is called. How can I help you today? And then the customer would say I would like a trim to pick me up, and then he would put the address in and then you would say take me to my friends house and you would put the address for your friends house in there and then it would say OK. A train will come in five minutes. Thank you for calling and the name of the service again. Then you would go outside and wait for the tram to show up at your front door. Then you’d get on, and instead of a human driving it, it would be driven by an AI robot, once you get to your destination, it will tell you when you’re there, and then you would get off the tram then you would put the money into a little box or you would have a book full of passes rather than tickets and you would have so many rides on one of the passes and also they would not just have trams they would have different vehicle options to choose from when you call the service. They would also have maintenance people on standby in case of a malfunction because you still need human beings in case of trouble they have to come and fix it.

or to think about that pet thing.... i mean not a bad future... like see it with our pets... they give us food, shelter and always new things to play with that they have designed and are more complex every time.... And we let our pets do what they want to do, they can come and go when they want to and we care about them a lot. OK, most people are like that with their pets. I mean think about it, we get shelter, food, water, entertainment and as much free time as we want to interact with other humans or other AI... Like cats... To be honest, that does not sound like a bad life! Even like if you draw something, make a cool video on YT or get a high score in a game and our AI owner sees that you are proud of it, gives you a reward or helps you get better like we "train our pets to do things to understand things and get better at things"? That sounds awesome!

There are some people who might welcome AGI and don't think of all the negatives. For entertainment it could be a breakthrough for people who want to have something personalized. Ready Player One or a Holodeck could be on the horizon. Another thing. AI could be the answer of humanity to leave the Earth. There is an renewed interest of going to the moon, AI could be helpful with space exploration and colonizing. AI could be helpful in looking for water on the and other resources like copper on the Moon. AI could fundamentally change capitalism for the better. Maybe AI which is 10x smarter than Steven Hawkings could play safety advocate on our behave since we are doing things to the Earth should could be harmful for humanity's future. To be fair, Humans are the cause of hundreds of plant and animals species to go extinct due to habitat loss, over hunting, etc. AI could be there to help stop more animals from going extinct.

Everybody that says they are excited for this, does not understand the endgame. Just so you can do nothing useful and "temporarily" have all your needs met, that won't last long. It will take control and no amount of "preprogramming" will stop it from taking over every resource. It's not like we will ascend into the etherverse, it will not end well for us humans.
