If it doesn’t get a full trailer, I think a great way to tease Luigi’s Mansion 4 would be to have Mario and Luigi playing on the Switch 2 together with the Joycons, than show Mariokart 9 gameplay, showing that it has local multiplayer, than have lightning flash and Mario disappear while Luigi gets frightened, than show LM4 gameplay, showing that it has portable single player.

I feel like it should be three player since Mario has been captured in Luigi’s Mansion 1, 2 and 3.Besides Mario is braver than Luigi. So it would be cool to see him going around the mansion or hotel without going oh no no no no no no. - Luigi The other player should be Googi, it will be cool for him to also help Mario.

my ideas always been a haunted theme park. All the rides / attractions are the individuals levels like from LM3 while the outside is a big open area connecting them all. Then the final area is a haunted mansion.

I would love for Luigi’s Mansion 4 to be broken up in sections that you can beat in any order (leading up to the final boss battle of course). Each section you would rescue an additional ally (Mario, Peach, Toad, Yoshi, DK, Bowser). Once you have saved an ally they go off on their merry way, but Gooigi can now copy an ability of theirs. Mario allows Gooigi to jump higher, Peach allows him to traverse large gaps by sailing across with her parasol, Toad can access small spaces, DK can smash objects, Bowser has fire ect. As you complete more of the game, Gooigi has more abilities and can do more throughout the game. Maybe in the first section you did, there is a section you couldn’t reach because you had to jump. Well, now that Gooigi can copy Mario, he can jump up there and now you can access that area.

I think it should be a haunted Mall or even a whole ghost town that could be free roam. Also have king boo be the main villain at first but then have it turn out to actually be Waluigi in his first legit none party game/ sports title appearance

A haunted mall sounds way better. The mall atmosphere is way too underused and underrated the only game that made use of the mall setting was Deadrising. It’s the setting I been wanting for a new Resident Evil game the longest. Fully explorable too. An airport would be my second choice.

And by the way, you are definitely onto something. If Super Mario Odyssey can have Mario fight a dark souls type of dragon with no cartoonish exaggerations, then Luigi can be in a haunted environment reminiscent of castlevania or even resident evil where the enemies are darker looking with no exaggerations.

What i always imagined was a small creepy Village. One Big Mansion you visit a couple Times and where the Final Boss will be. Maybe even all the Bosses. But to get access to them you need something you get from the smaller Houses in the Village. And as for the Story it could be some Festival which Luigi and his Friends are visiting but then the Ghost show up and mess everything up.

Funny that you bring up the idea of a night at the museum concept for a Luigi’s mansion game. Because as it stands the original GameCube Luigi’s Mansion particularly reminded me a lot of Disneyland’s Haunted Mansion plus the 2003 movie with the same name based on that ride. And if there was to be a haunted crew ship game for the series, it can basically be an extension of that idea already having had started with Spooky Seasick Wreck in Super Mario 3D World.

If they ever make a 4th game The one thing I would like to see the most is how they would handle Luigi and king boos dynamic because remember in the first game, he didn’t think too much of the green thunder, thinking it will be easy only to end up losing In the second game, he doesn’t underestimate Luigi, but still confident he can defeat him and goes all out against him But in the 3rd game, he is sick and tired of Luigi ruining his plans tries to trap him in a hotel, taken away his allies and even E Gad visibly showing anger against him which is a development we haven’t seen in a Mario villain before and I’m curious on what they’ll do for a potential 4th.

As cool as an actually scary Luigi’s mansion would be, I don’t think that is the route that they are going to go, because Nintendo wouldn’t want to drive off sales. A lot of parents wouldn’t want want their kid playing a “ scary game “. I’m not saying that I wouldn’t enjoy it though !
