I was thinking something like this [CONT] (VC): This unit is also treated as “Master of Gravity Baromagnes”. [CONT]: (VC): All your front row units gain +5K power for every 5 cards in your Soul. [AUTO] (VC): When this unit attacks [COST] [Energy Blast-3] and place all your rear guards in your soul, perform all the following effects in any order according to the number of cards in your soul: 10 or more: This unit gets Drive+1 until the end of the battle. 15 or more: Your opponent puts all their rear guards in their soul. Choose up to two cards from your soul, call them to (RC). 20 or more: Stand this unit and it gets Drive-1 for the turn. ^ the way they enable the 20 soul and the deck in general imo is so obvious, create a support card that counts as 2 cards in Soul for the count of cards in Soul for your Baro VG. At the same time a new ride line should enable at least 8-10 cards in soul by the time you go into Baro. Also I felt it was important for Baro to place your own rear guards as cost before attempting anything so that your soul charge count is higher before the effect kicks in, enabling you to enable more of the effects. Removing the counter blast cost is also important as the best Baro support all uses counter blast as cost and made you play Baro with your gaurd down or made you very vulnerable to damage deny. I removed the crit, as that might be too much on a restanding VG that can also increase its drive.

wouldn't the second CONT skill just be easier to say "+1k Power for each card in your soul" instead of "+5k for every 5 in soul" ? but perhaps that's just me lol

@@chrislinge8595 that would actually be a better effect than the one I proposed. Since if you are at 12 cards in your soul, you’ll gain +12K making G3 units hit the magic number of 25K which would require the opponent to guard with more than 15K on G3. My effect would keep you at +10K gain at 12 cards in soul and the opponent could use less cards go guard. G1 units also benefit more from your effect because they’ll be at 15K at 7 cards in soul. Hey as a Baro fan I would prefer your effect to be the case!

This is my own take on the new Baro [CONT](VC): This unit is also treated as "Master of Gravity, Baromagnes". [AUTO](VC): When this unit attacks, [COST][Counter Blast (1)], and put all of your and your opponent's rear-guards into soul. Activate all of the following according to the number of cards in your soul. ・5 or more - This unit gets [Power]+5000/drive +1 until end of turn. ・10 or more - Choose up to two cards from your soul, and call them to (RC) in the same column. ・15 or more - [COST][Put a card from hand into your soul], [Stand] this unit, and it gets drive -2 until end of turn. [ACT](VC)1/Turn: If you have 20 or more cards in your soul, [COST][Energy Blast (3) & Remove a card with the same card name as this unit from your hand, drop or soul], choose up to three [Critical] triggers from your soul, return them to your deck, and shuffle your deck. If it seems to lack power, usually Baro comes with a support order, so to me his new support (be it units or order) would already have their own power gain effects

Thank you for mentioning VSPO Beni! Its been called better baromagnes in a lot of Jp tournaments, and I have been wondering what the new Baro would do. I do agree with you that energy will be used as a second skill..and i do like the idea that it uses a "Genesis" style SC where it takes the triggers and puts it back into the deck... What do you think the new support and possible ride line would do?

its kinda hard to tell with the rideline honestly since the Baldgmire line's effect would work amazing with the effect I proposed here. That said I think the rideline will probably call its self out from soul on t3 and the g1 will have a good skill for generating advantage early and on place. I think they will want to redo baro to the point where you can build him straight from this set, so I think they will make the ride line cards more playable in main deck. For the support...I wanna say we'll finally get a card counts as multiple cards in soul? and for the last one I honestly dont know lol

I can’t really read most of the title, but I will always see the thumbnails of the Streams on the Japanese Vanguard channel, deadass didn’t realize that it was Baro in the Thursday stream thumbnail, just thought “oh cool, wonder what DS deck this is support for.”

Nice video. Do you think a support card that works like Dreaming Dragon for Genesis could work for Baro? This would help with the deck out issue, since you’re returning stuff from drop to deck. You could also get away with using Gungnram much more often.

Hell, no! Baro already has a unit that return soul to deck. That already prevents deck out, they won't give him another card like that.

We have 2 units that do that already so I doubt it. We would probably get more cards like hardening insight that put cards back in deck but still sc so that you break even

i believe to an extent that's true. but you kind of start splitting hairs at whether a condition can be considered a cost and whether or not effects that give CONT skills count towards a CONT having a cost. in any case, new Baro is is hype! 👉😎👉

Baro needs draw engine badly! Plus drop the amount of soul to 10 or at least if keeping 15 then give him guard restriction for a turn.

Make people cope more for new Eugene😂. Bet he will reduce maximum souls needed and better at everything, draw2,cri front row and 15k whole turn, also suck all rearguards and call out for more 2 attacks.

I mean it would make sense. It would make it so Eugene is the only rideline of the Set 1 non MC ride lines for each nation to not have an upgrade, Hexaorb, Zorga, Orfist, and now Baro all have gotten one, so please for the love of god give our Gun man some actually good defining support, and not just throwing him a random card every other set like they’ve done with the past couple sets

There's been cards outside of Lyrical that do the same as Dressup it just doesn't have the specific keyword name. Look at Aquamarine or the new Eva and Shojo
