I think even konami forgot that they dont work that way when they made red-eyes fusion since the first fusion we got for it was made out of 2 geminis....yet you can not use geminis from deck to make it... so it would be a worse poly by turn 3/5... insanity that they put a lock on it for 2 vanilla fusions and a battle based one...

You could fix most of the archetype with just minor tweaks to most of the monsters as well. Watch. Orrafist: "Negate that effect, and if you do, destroy that monster." Edge Razor: Remove "of a Link-3 or higher monster." Dog Tag: Remove "During your main phase." Justify: "Neither player can summon/set [...]" Nightchaser: Attacks or effects. These are just the minor tweaks, the rest of the archetype are either already fine for what the deck wants to do or need a complete rethinking (Digamma rocking around like the dude's a GX monster or something)

@@Zetact_ that does solve the power ceiling of the deck, but it doesn't solve the consistency of it. That's the biggest problem in my opinion. It's at least a two card combo dependent deck that runs multiple garnets, all with one starter that loses to ash/imperm/veiler. Even the Link-1 requires setup. Even an arguably bad card like Small Scuffle makes a huge difference in how things turn out, just because it's extra access to Rappa and Retroactive (always choose Chiyomaru, you don't want to give level 1 access in the fire king snake eyes format).

ra's life point sink being only on summon is so bad, and it literally conflicts with the pay 1000 effect that becomes unusable. just removing "when normal summoned" from the text would make it quite a bit better

Ra has always been bafflingly bad. It came out *after* Obelisk but it somehow felt like it was released 5 years earlier. Obelisk was a pretty faithful recreation of what we saw in the show, obviously minus the "it's god so it beats everything automatically" clauses, with a reasonably strong protection effect, the self destruct on special summon clause and its famous big bombastic field nuke. It had new Takahashi art and it wasn't blue, but otherwise sure, that's believably the card Kaiba had. Ra drops, and it's missing the protection, missing the famous Maju Garzett effect, flat out won't let you SS it even temporarily, its LP sink is wonky as hell and irreversible, and its only upside other than being a big beater is that targeted destruction effect that I personally don't remember anyone ever using. Literally the only possible thing I can think of is that maybe they didn't give it protection because it would be redundant with Mound of the Bound Creator. The rest, I don't have a clue about. Bizarre decision making and every single piece of Ra support since has been an apology for a different part of the effect that it should have had. Glad they did Slifer properly, imagine if the 2000 ATK drain on that card was a separate continuous spell called something like "Second Mouth Suppression".

Alternatively they could add back during your opponents end phase as well as your own with the "once per turn and only once that turn" clause. It would give insane follow-up and still allow you to buff the cards.

Take out the pendulum monster requirement for materials in Odd-Eyes Ritual. Also, change the "can use extra deck monsters as material if your opponent controls two or more monsters and you control none" to just that but "if you control no monsters" for both Odd-Eyes Fusion and Odd-Eyes Ritual. Also, that deck needs spell/trap searches if it wants to be played outside of the PP(pendulum pile).

There are 2 for Shiranui spectral sword. First is that it’s grave effect can’t be activated the turn it’s sent to the grave, and the other is that the grave effect isn’t considered a synchro summon.

So I had a big one to make Infernobles work with the original Arthurian Noble Knights and it was a line that "While equipped, this card's name counts as a Noble Arms" but let's not joke the biggest most absurd one for Noble Knights is still LADY OF THE LAKE. I have a whole word document on errataing NK cards but Lady of the Lake is by far the most egregious "Bad card" Cannot be used as a Synchro Material Monster, except for the Synchro Summon of a Warrior-Type monster. If this card is used for a Synchro Summon, banish it. When this card is Normal Summoned: You can target 1 "Noble Knight" Normal Monster in your Graveyard; Special Summon that target. If this card is in your Graveyard: You can target 1 Level 5 "Noble Knight" monster you control; reduce its Level by 1, and if you do, Special Summon this card from the Graveyard. Why the fuck is it so limited? I changed it to This card is always treated as a “Noble Arms” card. Cannot be used as a Synchro Material, except for the Synchro Summon of a Warrior-Type monster. When this card is Normal Summoned: You can target 1 "Noble Knight" Monster in your Graveyard; Special Summon that target. If this card is in your Graveyard: You can target 1 "Noble Knight" monster you control; reduce its Level by 1, and if you do, Special Summon this card from the Graveyard, but banish it when it leaves the field Reason: Lady of the Lake is an unsearchable out of archetype monster with ridiculous limitations for how weak its effect is, summoning exactly Artorigus and nothing else. This way it works as a revival card, which it shouldn’t be banished for because Junk Synchron didn’t do that. Its banish effect has been standardized to the Jet Synchron style of “Banish on leaving the field” instead of “Banished when used for a Synchro period.”

It was somehow bad on release. Why does it banish itself on Synchro, at the time we have High Laund and Wayne as level 5's (and no level 9 Warriors), It's an aqua, it has one target for its Only On Normal effect, it has like 4 targets for its grave effect. This wave of NK support just like "Oh you guys have no idea what you want this deck to do."

To trigger it multiple times, you'd have to play multiple copies of DM which is such a hard garnet, only DM pure would play more than 1 copy. DM barely plays 3 copies. I can't imagine a scenario where DMC enables rank 7 spam decks to do more than they already do and it's only searchable if you commit your normal summon to Magician's Rod. The only deck I can see it benefiting other than DM is Gold Pride by giving them access to the level 10 synchro pool but since Barron got banned, being able to make level 10 generics has lost it's bite.

As a person who plays hero in master duel, no. fusion destiny doesn't need a buff, you can still summon the vast majority of your main deck, and all but one of the XTRA heros, Literally just save it for the end of your turn and there is no downside. Edit: jesus christ i can't believe i forgot to add this, Why the hell does favorite contact not count as a FUSION summon, when you have to use FUSION materials, and can only use it to summon FUSION monsters? this distinction's only effect is making it so Wake up doesn't work.

The “return to extra deck” clause just needs to be removed from every Neos Fusion, maybe the OG 6, but it should be an optional trigger on triple contact fusions and Cosmo Neos. And the best part about this is that even with this buff those cards wouldn’t be meta or playable.

Okay so Z-Arc is weird specifically because, in case y'all forgot, there *ARE* ways to fusion it using the pendmages. Specifically, using the sorcerers. Yeah, Astrograph and Chronograph can fuse for Z-Arc by banishing themselves and the four type dragons, and they actually do NAME "Pendulum Dragon", "Synchro Dragon", "Fusion Dragon", and "Xyz Dragon".

The god cards should have the part that says the opponent can't activate cards when they are normal summoned with "while you control this normal summoned card your opponent cannot activate cards or effects during your turn." It wouldn't make them meta or anything, but would at least make them somewhat of a threat and would prevent the situation where they basically die before even reaching the battle phase. Also it has a certain flavour, like the opponent has to show reverence and stay put in the presence of a god properly brought forth.

Since someone already buffed red eyes fusion in that thread, I’ll just follow up on that with some buffs to the other red eyes fusion monsters that aren’t Dragoon. Give slash dragon targeting protection when it has a card equipped to it, make it so Black skull archfiend just needs any level 6 Archfiend instead of specifically needing a vanilla one for fusion material and give you the choice to either revive a vanilla red eyes from the gy or shuffle after damage calculation, finally give meteor black comet dragon destruction protection and make it so you can special summon any red eyes monster when it’s sent to the graveyard instead of just the OG red eyes. This would give every fusion its own niche and play style while not being so utterly outclassed by dragoon even if it’s still the best.

I would be ok with simple changes. Dark Rabbit, Parrot Dragon, Bickuribox and Toon Alligator should all have the "Toon" type next to their "???/Normal" type, would anyone care? no, but it would be nice to expand a little. Also change Dragon Piper's effect altogether to be more anime accurate as it's too niche, and Larva Moth just have an effect that states "This card counts as Petit Moth", stuff like that, nothing too game breaking but at least bodes well enough to be worth doing to allow the iconic cards a better life.

And on all the best cards for interactions. It is so dog shit it makes the Behemoths mostly unplayable.

My change would be to Magikey Deity - Ashtartu. I feel like they unnecessarily nerfed this card because you can create it generically, but it should be able to quick effect banish based on the attributes in the graveyard and not just magikey or normal monster attributes. Every other boss works this way in magikey, but I guess since creating this is generic they wanted to add some sort of magikey restriction that hurts the deck and makes it not worth making. Also if it could use the attributes of the material attached to it would be better because I cant activate against fire without detaching transfurlmine which I used to make it and I can't detach with the first effect unless I attack with it first which is too slow.

Dominus Purge isn't even out yet but even with the restrictions removed it would still see less play than Ash. They just decided that an ok trap card shouldn't be playable in the only meta trap deck.

Look ocg will have 9 maxx c sooner or later that might crippled deck that play engines, dominus will be a luxury for archetypes that play pure like pure traptrix or pure ritual beast. An absolutely great designed move by konami japan to release dominus followed by chummies monsters, promote decks to be played exactly as they are meant to be played because now by playing pure you are less vulnerable to the 9 maxx c that youre not going to win.

Imo, the 1 card that always comes to my mind when people talk about an errata is triamid pulse. Like, the deck has such good synergy, all the cards work well with each other... Then theres the triamid continuous trap, triamid pulse, which just decides to banish the triamids in grave as cost... In a deck with 0 interaction with its own banish pile. If triamid pulse cost was just "you can shuffle 2 rock type monsters or/and field spell cards in your gy back to deck" it would synergyze so much with the deck by shuffling its field spells back to deck, so the lower monsters can get them on the field when necessary.

I would love it if Zakiel’s terrible tribute summon effect were changed to “if you control a magical musket monster, you can special summon this card from your hand.” It’s insane to me that the ostensible main deck boss of a deck that’s already so normal summon dependent has no innate way of getting itself out.

The amount of issues brought up that specifically relate to an issue HERO has hurts me so much For one more i'd say unerrata Disk Commander but give it a HERO lock and it becomes a very powerful draw engine in HERO that's only hampered by how it requires setup. Would make it arguably a 1-of just because HERO loves playing anything that says both "HERO" and "Draw 2" in it (see Liquid's continued play and Cross Keeper's niche playability before deck space got too damn tight)

Concept for Super Quant; a new support monster where if it's sent to the graveyard, every time you Xyz Summon this turn, you draw a card. It's essentially the same effect as the archetypical Link monster, but just better in that it doesn't require you to go three monsters to make this effect happen and it isn't limited by monster zones. Whether new support is a Super Quantum Layer or perhaps a new Super Quantal Fairy is up to you.

For those that don't know Krawlers have a trap that changes an opponent's monster effect to "return a Krawler your opponent controls to the hand." Since the links don't trigger when bounced anymore it no long works as intended and since links can't be face down your opponent will always be able to target the link instead of the monsters that would summon 2 from the deck when removed by an opponent's card effect. Makes me sad

My favorite deck is Trains. Derricrane is already way way to block on-summon effects (at least in the TCG) making Bullet Express a summon that does not start a chain, would give a deck designed to go second a way of getting two level 10s on the field without having to activate effects. Forcing opponents to include other forms of interruption in their end board, not just negations.

Two small changes to the new Lightsworn support that make them a lot better. Not necessarily good enough to be playable, but still far better: 1. Let Lightsworn Dragonling's (2) effect(that sends a LS card from deck to grave) ALSO WORK ON NORMAL SUMMON. The card is crazy, but the fact that you can only get your combo started by jumping through a dozen hoops just to facilitate Special Summoning the silly Beanie Baby is so annoying. Every day I look at Dragonling and ask myself why it has to be so hard to use, while a card like Snake-Eye Ash is allowed to exist. 2. Let Minerva the Athenian Lightsworn's (1) effect(that prevents LS monsters you control from being banished) to also protect the names in your Graveyard. This protects your combo lines from D.D. Crow and Bystials, and it allows you to more safely use Enlightenment Dragon, since it doesn't wipe out your Graveyard and completely kill your ability to play on turn 3.

I want the order of Cross Sheep’s effects to be changed so Fusion is last, because as is, it causes cards to miss timing if you’re also pointing to a synchro or xyz. I have accidentally caused Infernity Archfiend to miss timing more times than I would like to admit

Fun fact. King Calamity misses timing. Force Crimson Dragon out with a pre-emptive Imperm or Book of Moon or what ever, and KC will NOT turn skip you. Also, Witch's Strike being a Counter Trap would require a text change to make it look for effects that would negated the activation of a card or effect. But what WOULD make it actually playable is make it activatable from the hand. Make it cost half your LP if you have to. It wouldn't be as bad as Red Reboot because it's still a normal trap. BUT it would be a playable normal trap.

There's a bunch of changes I would like on Nekroz of Areadbhair. Make it tribute Spells/Traps in your hand not just monsters for the discard effect. Make the negate omni instead of just monsters. Make the negate tribute for effect instead of cost.

I think live twin is a really fun deck, but there's one frustrating part of the archetype for me. It really feels like the restriction on the normal live twins to summon the other one from hand/deck should read "if you don't control (opposite twin)" instead of "if you control no other monsters". The way it's worded currently just creates situations in which you lock yourself out of your own plays in ways that feel real bad in my opinion. Have fun trying to capitalize off of cards like nibiru since you turned your main starter offline by using them. It's not like the power level of live twin is particularly high, so the deck having the downside that it clashes with staples like nib or bystials in a way most decks don't feels really unnecessary.

have Libromancer First Appearance give protection to Libromancer monsters the turn they're summoned and not allow your opponent to respond to your Libro ritual summons, now they won't be negated as often : )
