Hopefully now they have a good relationship with Mack, I’d much rather a Stryker coaster there similar to Voltron, I think universal would execute it so well and the throughput would be amazing, I think something from a different manufacturer would provide more variety in the resort as there are already a good amount of intamins now

tbh, i’d like to see a original themed ride replace this, no ip attatched. maybe something that incorporates music to pay homage to rockit but different enough. also every single coaster other than the kiddie coaster in universal orlando resort all has launches (not counting gringotts) as much as i love launches, i’d like for them to go with a diffirent type of coaster experience like rockit was.

Same honestly. I love the idea of picking your own song on a coaster and will miss that. Maybe they will make it similar to Hollywood Dream in Japan?

I personally think it's sealed that it will be ghostbusters. The entrance being in New York kinda makes it obvious. Unless it doesn't board where that building that looks suspiciously like a station building is in the permits, it enters in New York. The 3 big rumors right now are Back to the Future, Fast and Furious, and Ghostbusters. Of those 3, Ghostbusters is the only one that has anything to do with New York. Couple that with the entrance being RIGHT BY the firehouse that will no longer have a coaster going through it and it couldn't be more obvious.

I wish they could gut the current F&F ride, use that as a load station, have an indoor section for the coaster that eventually speeds out into the open air then uses the current real estate for RRR.

I'm inclined to think it's Ghostbusters, as indoor outdoor rollercoaster. The permits show they are possibly putting in new buildings in New York area. It makes thematic sense. They've licensed the IP already and having it permanently there would add to Halloween horror nights. F&F already has a presence and I think we'll see a redo of that ride at a later date.

One thing you failed to mention is that Ghostbusters was an attraction that opened with the park in 1990 where Race Through Mew York currently sits and where RRR goes through the firehouse was where the old entrance for the show was It’s rumored that the blue building next to it and the firehouse get demo’d to make way for the new roller coaster for entrance and exit. So I can totally see Ghostbusters alone taking the IP role for the new roller coaster.

Ghostbusters is just a more beloved and timeless franchise, and it would fit well into the New York area. To be honest I want rollercoasters for both, and for supercharged to go.

Haven’t heard many people talk or touch upon BTTF. The main point of traveling through time is speed, so they could have a straight launch near the end to be the signature point on the ride, like Velocicoaster and its top-hat, or The Hulk with it’s banana split inversion.

But that doesn't make sense in the ny area. I heard a coaster similar to f&f drift but themed to minions. I hope it's not that because ghost busters does make the most sense especially with the renewed presence in the parks recently which is how Universal historical starts hinting at things to come.

@MrDoorknobREAL what i meant was that Ghostbusters took place in ny, bttf didn't so it wouldn't make sense to put bttf there. I know Zelda is the common theory, but I would love bttf to replace the Simpsons area when that contract expires. They could do so much with an entire bttf land.

It’s most likely something else like ghostbusters or another IP. Plus I don’t think universal will clone an attraction that’s not even open yet over in Hollywood. Yeah it’s technically wouldn’t be a direct clone, but I truly think they are waiting a couple years to clone it into Orlando. I’d say within the next 10 years the original F&F attraction will close and then well get the Florida version of the new roller coaster there getting in Hollywood, in the San Francisco part of the park. But as for rip ride rocket replacement, it’s probably not Fast and furious

There is already a similar attraction very close by, the minion one so i doubt they would put two very similar attractions so close together. It's definitely a Rollercoaster.

They should just make a better RRR, choose your own music (universal literally has an entire music business with many artists to pick from) smooth the ride experience and keep the vertical launch because it’s so unique, I love it personally. But they’re probably going to do Ghostbusters tbh. They’re not going to do F&F though that would completely embarrass them as they have their crappy simulator still open. They’re not going to want 2 different rides of the same theme. If they did that I’d be flabbergasted. If only they’d replace Jimmy Fallon with something better with that space from RRR. That’s going to stay for at least 10 years (that seems to be universals minimum for getting rid of an attraction, which means we have F&F supercharged at least for another 3-4 years 😢)
