What will the "Unique SJD" Precision Medicine Centre look like?

🔍 Discover the future "Únicas SJD" Center for Precision Medicine, which will begin operating in 2026. This center will bring together areas for research, diagnosis, and therapies in a single space. Driven by the Sant Joan de Déu Barcelona Hospital, the center aims to continue providing the best care for over 30,000 children and adolescents with rare diseases whom it currently serves. The hospital is currently the leader in treating patients with these conditions in Spain.
🏙️ The new facility is located 250 meters from the hospital, at the heart of what will become a new district for medical and biotechnological innovation. The building, spanning over 13,000 square meters and six floors, has been designed with sustainability criteria and architectural purpose.
💡 Fully funded by the Amancio Ortega Foundation through a collaboration agreement, the center will drive personalized diagnosis and the implementation of new therapies for affected patients.
