In GTA VC you did wrong with "flying over military base" test. Those soldiers will ACTUALLY SHOOT Tommy, even if he isn't on a military base! You just was flying too high, and didn't gave them a proper reaction time, so those militaries despawned before they shot at your helicopter.

I hope GTA 6 will be the most realistic GTA game ever. So you can hide yourself without wanted level to shoot the cops, and to turn the steering in reversing, and much more details.

With the GTA5 car explosions, it's slow due to the cars being side by side. In the contex of the vid, ya it's slow compared to the other GTA's. Get a whole bunch of cars in a group, and watch them go boom!
