Really enjoyed this. The Wonder Years was the programme that my Dad and I connected over. Every week, we would watch the episode and then we discussed it. I really value those times where we talked about our feelings on the show, and through Jack Arnold I ended up understanding him much better. Winnie was the centre of the show - she WAS the Wonder Years.

I watched the “Wonder Years” reunion recently and so Danica has been on my mind. My next-door neighbour growing up was actually called Danica after her! My parents still have the movie “Sidekicks” on VHS that she appeared as the love interest in. Like Melissa, I am jealous that her first kiss was Fred Savage. She is just as sweet as herself in interviews as she is on screen, and managed to forge a path in life for herself so different from that of other child actors. I thought it was so cute how Danica mentioned that, as a math major, she was disappointed when the scene showing equations in “Good Will Hunting” got cut short. This episode focused on how to inspire kids to want to learn, and gave parents great tips on educational resources. For example, Danica’s math-themed book series and Melissa’s suggestion to check out books created by Henry Winkler designed especially for dyslexic kids. Plus, Dolly Parton’s Imagination library came up again, which doesn’t take families’ economic status into account so as not to stigmatize its use. A round of applause to these three ladies for getting the new school year off to a roaring start! Finally, how nice to finally hear the full story about Amanda’s educational path, first studying fashion and then circling back to her love of weather forecasting.

I love Danica on everything but I do think she does a really excellent acting job on both The Wrong Woman movies! I also love her on the Hallmark/GAC stuff too and of course as Winnie Cooper! I totally agree about the DVDs!

sausage party is a boys film i guess lol but definitely no hype around it. it was a major flop. i think it was done well. its a satirical dark comedy. very silly but with a message if you can get past talking food lol
