I can’t believe Alex Dupré (Jana Kramer) from “One Tree Hill” was on this week’s episode! Even though I watched the show in real time, it was one of the first shows that I ever binge watched when it finished its run because it was so hard to part with its characters. I love how Jana’s character got to be a singer because it means that the fans can still enjoy her performances even after the show has ended. I have probably listened to the song “I got the boy” (co-written by Jamie Lynn Spears) a thousand times since it came out, and have recently enjoyed her intensely personal black-and-white music video “The Story.” I didn’t think I could love Jana anymore until she mentioned her affinity for euchre, which is popular not only in Michigan, but also in Ontario. On a different note, it was insightful listening to Melissa and Jana talking about the mental struggle of participating in “Dancing with the Stars” because that side of the story is often neglected in favour of portraying the glamour of the experience. Also, it’s crazy to hear about how many friends they have in common, including a masseuse in “Lashville”! I felt like Amanda and Jana really connected when talking about being a “puppy mom,” and could really empathize with Amanda’s initial refusal to get another dog after her 15-year-old one passed away because it hurt so much (my own Brittany Spaniel is 13…). Finally, I’m glad Melissa mentioned that both her dogs are rescues because it is so important to promote animal adoption.

I love North Italia, and another restaurant that does an amazing salad is Noodles and Greens. You can pick your protein or no protein, with pasta and or salad. It's got a good balance ratio of pasta, vegetables, and sauce/dressing

I feel like I’ve noticed that every time a guest is offered fuzzy socks it always seems like they steer clear from the white fuzzy socks and decide to go with a colorful fuzzy sock. Just something I noticed lol. I am so digging those black heart socks with the white shining heart on them, they’re so cute! 😊
