Congrats on 3K subscribers! I think it is brilliant that you could get so many talented people to share their knowledge with a newbie like me. Thank you! I've found more great plugins on this one video than the rest I've watched combined!

@@jamiewp Far too much fun. Strong work here Jamie. Loads of fun to see the different production quality here. I was in my shed, no script just - get it out there - which is always a bit of me, right?

This is some really fantastic content Jamie, from some familiar faces. It’s fascinating to see other pros workflows and I can relate to a lot of their reasons. Love it 😎 Ps. Well done on your 3k milestone. With you on your journey to many more !

Surprised all the love for Yoast. I used to use it on every site until I was experiencing slowdowns and slow PHP/SQL issues. I tracked it back to Yoast, replaced it with RankMath and not had those problems since. I've been using WP since 2004 so been though a lot of plugins and themes - remember how pretty much everyone got hacked with WP1.2? o.O Dark days. My plugins I always use on nearly every site: RankMath Powerpress - I'm a podcaster, so that really helps Jetpack - yeah has it's issues, but the social media shares WORK, whereas other plugins do flake out. I also like the ability to drop a plugin across my WP sites if there's a security alert etc. Bonuses - Wordfence - security people! And BackWPUp - ditto. Themes - I always stick with Automattic ones cos they tend to make their own themes work better with Gutenberg, so I mod/adapt those. Tracks and 2022 I have used as base themes for things. Also Photograph theme, I find a lot of themes are targeted on commerce or brochure/company sites, not so many for bloggers and portfolio/artist? Can't wait for full site editing to be in there so I can mod my own - the fashion seems to be oddly to hide all the content away in a clean never-changing frontpage, which doesn't work for a regularly updated blog or podcast site. Host: Ramnode. And UltraVPS (the german one), I self-host. VPS all the way, but been with Ramnode for 5 years now. Non-WP tool - I think Pixlr-E. I could say Pixelmator Pro for my podcast/post graphics, but for quick edits and comps, a free online graphics editor is hard to beat.

Hi @Jamie, thx for this video and congrats on the 3K now 4.24K at time of writing this comment. I'm looking back at your videos as I just found your channel (and I click like for your cat to get a treat, love this!!). Just to let you know that you didn't mention Shawn Hesketh in the linked article on your website. And now that FSE is out, some of the opinions here about themes may have switched a bit Thx and see you

Paul@WPTuts is a KZbin host and not a typical professional developer, per se. Otherwise you'd see more content about his client-work processes and less pitching page builders and add-ons. He does have a insightful and helpful channel, but he makes his name as a teacher/tester/reviewer, not as a daily key grinder. I like Paul, but didn't expect to see him here.

I guess my 15+ years of working with clients (and still do) doesn’t count then? 🤷🏼♂️
@stuart_gill3 жыл бұрын
You clearly don’t watch the WPTuts channel that often to say something as incorrect as that!
@JoeGator233 жыл бұрын
@@stuart_gill I watch him, and his channel is top-rated. My point is that he is more of a YT personality than a designer/developer because he is on a different path than we are as builders. I would have expected to see one of them in this case. And yes, he is a salesman... and you never actually see or access anything that he has done for his clients. Other designers and builders would have been a better fit for this particular video. I wasn't trying to insult him or his YT channel, he just has different motivations and objectives than we do. Someone else would have been a better fit here, it just seemed a bit weird.
