Just to clear up any confusion, Romanian is not the same as Romani, I talk a lot about Romani people on here but Romani people are a completely different group from Romanian people. Romani is an Indian language while Romanian is a Latin language, Romani people are not Romanians and vice versa however Romania does have a large Romani minority which is why there are many people who are both Romani and Romanian (like me!) but in this video I’m talking about the Latin Romanian language, not Romani.

But when I'm hanging out with my friends and our black friend gets lost, we just ask "Where did Black go?" translated "¿A donde se fue'el Negro?" And if an Asian looking person becomes your friend in school, there's a 300% chance he's gonna be nicknamed "Chino" which is literally "Chinese" And the thing is we don't mean it as an offensive insult. In Italian, to say "come on" we say "dai" which sounds a lot like die in English. Whenever I used that word as an exclamation and my mother (who is American) was close enough to hear it, she would scold me since it sounds like I was telling others to go and die. I also have story about this phrase. In Finland we say "kippis" when we raise glasses for a toast. My mother lived in Netherlands for a while when she was young, and she told that when she took part in a party for the first time and they were raising glasses she automatically cried "kippis". V = like in English i = like the i in "interest" l = like in English.
