Lebanon will survive. The country has fought similar wars for 200 years, against the French, the Israelis, the Americans etc

@geopoliticaltrends I agree with the majority of your videos, and I contributed to your platform, but this one got me confused. You said nothing about what would happen to the other country. What about our economy here in the west. Do you really think an all out war wouldn't happen. Are you sure other countries wouldn't defend Lebanon. Are you sure Lebanon can be defeated. I am sorry what you just said make no sense.

Can Lebanon survive 2024? My perspectives Dr Oualaalou. Yes. The Lebanese, Jews, Indians and Chinese diasporas have deep pockets and settled communities. As a sovereign nation, these four tiny diasporas will feature inside the top ten economies of the world. Some of my business partners are Lebanese and Indians, and I do know the communities. Lebanon is going through some hard times this year, but they will overcome, persevere and ride the storms. Tough community. And Lebanese have a successful diaspora around the world. ❤

Lebanon like all War torn countries have a resilience to the sorts of issues you raised as they are familiar. I also feel in the new merging multi-polar world they will get some assistance they may have not received in the past to move forward. More to the point if the Nation is pushed to the point of despair they would having nothing to lose by declaring War against those wishing them harm and joining the fight with Hezbollah which would all but seal Israel's fate as they are already in financial crisis and a War would create a mass exodus plus all the facts you mentioned that Lebanon would suffer.

Social and political instability always accompanied by economy decline, and war exacerbates it further down to recession or hyperinflation. When it comes to the crunch time (for survival), Lebanese will stand up and fight though its economy is going to suffer a lot harder this time as compared to war with Israel 2006, except the non-western financial and humanitarian support to Lebanon will be much stronger and sufficiently abundant this time too. The bottom line is It’s going to be a war of attrition amongst human resource, economy resilience and military firepower for both Hezbollah and Israel, and I doubt Israel can survive 3 months after marching into Lebanon where Hezbollah had years of preparation and fortification, needless to say if a prolong war last for years.

The foreigners come and rule + plunder typical. Keep "trusting" and do nothing. All these economic strains will happen to the people of Lebanon if they continue fighting on. If the people of Lebanon stop fighting, they will end up with crumbs anyway, because the West will control it all. What's the difference? What the US is doing to Lebanon, is what it has already done with many other countries. So, either we all go on resisting, and survive their swords, or surrender, and live by their mercy. Keep resisting Lebanon, together, the world must keep fighting back, no matter what.

I'm surprised that David is continuosly downgradeing the Lebanon but forget that Israel economy is also in a bad shape. Israel is badly insulated across the world. Many Israelis have fled Israel & many investors and companies have left Israel too. Therefore, Israel is not doing great either. In my view, Lebanese have nothing to lose but a lot to gain because their economy was in a bad shape before 8th Oct. However, Hezbollah has reported many times that they would stop, if Israel accept ceasefire in Gaza & West bank. Obviously, the war is very costly & Lebanon is not resource rich but other countries are financially & militarily supporting Hezbollah. I feel, Israel economy is badly effected by this war & Israel must be worried that all those IDF have to go back to their jobs soon. Otherwise, Israel apartheid will become like the former South Africa😜.
