Thank you for this! Very informative and helpful 🙏🏽 That Jesus was 33 and a half years comes from the Bible’s longest time prophecy in Daniel 9. The 70 weeks prophecy tells when the Messiah would be anointed (baptism of Christ), and when He would be cut off (crucified). A specific start time is given for the events foretold to Daniel (the rebuilding of the temple in Jerusalem). Knowing from the book of John that Jesus was 30 when He began His ministry then informs us that our Saviour ministered for 3 and a half years. If you do the maths of the 2,300-day (or 70 weeks) prophecy in Daniel, you will see the prophecy comes right to our doorstep in time, to the year 1844. The first century Israelites were aware of this timing, and were expectant; the fullness of time had come. Luke 3:15. Anna and Simeon in the Temple had recognised the Child when He was born. The Lord does nothing without revealing it to His prophets first. Praise God for Light!
