Watched this twice already. I had noticed some of the elements you mention of both swings without necessarily knowing the underlying reasons, so this was really interesting and useful. Looking forward already to the follow-up you alluded to.

Thanks John, appreciate the thoughts. Want to do a few of these now, with your players and their swings and what we can learn. The Dustin Johnson video didn’t come out post upload, oddly enough so it will be better next time 😊

Great video. One size does not fit all, there are many variables and it is balancing those in order to deliver a reasonable neutral path and a reasonably neutral club face at strike. It is understanding those variables and how to balance them that requires a good coach!

A video on the impact 'flat left wrist'.. Debunk, promote and clarify its role. This video reminded me a little of the swingers/hitters/switters theory
@GoodGolfCoaching10 ай бұрын
Question or statement Carl? Have done videos on how crap flat left wrists are at impact and how they should be worked away from. Check out my “Power at Impact” video. Thanks for sharing buddy! Best wishes Stu 😊

Defo a question. It comes directly from my new pressure in handle approach which seems to work against the flat left wrist. Insecure golfer seeling further affirmation from the teacher I suppose. Loving the vids.

I’m right here for you Carl - I understand the hesitation, whilst the world says flat left wrist is the way. Hang tough, any questions, let me know sir. Best wishes Stu 😊

The last time I had a lesson about grip, I had a ten finger grip and a slice. I left the lesson tee with a nice looking neutral overlap grip and a slice.

😂😂Was the wrong grip change ! At least it looked nice 😎😫Best wishes Stu

@@GoodGolfCoachingOh it's strong now, and I have not sliced a ball without purposefully trying to in about a decade. Luckily I had enough intuition to eventually figure out that the grip changes the face angle.

Wow! Another great explanation and demonstration of a subject matter that has had me confused; No longer, because you have, once again, demonstrated the differences of the two different types of golf swings, which have kept many conflicting swing thoughts between my ears. Thank you, Again “Great Golfing/ # From A Great Instructor.🏌🏻♂️👍🏻👍🏻

.......love it, very interesting stuff Stu. Apparently regardless of how you hold the club it still comes down to forces and how you might initiate the force based on your grip?......gheesh, did I just state the obvious?.......thanks alot ⛳🍺
@GoodGolfCoaching10 ай бұрын
Hey Gary.. sounds you’ve nailed it to me. The obvious seems wildly simple, and yet wildly powerful. You’ve come far my son, be the ball Danny 😂 - love hearing your thoughts, they get better and better! Best wishes Stu 😊

@@GoodGolfCoaching ........ soon I will take the pebble from your hand......😂
Really good video. Do you think Rory and Dustin's ball flights (draw vs fade) were a natural choice given their swing patterns, or did their swing patterns develop because of their chosen ball flights?
@GoodGolfCoaching10 ай бұрын
Thanks Brian - great question! The ball flight chose them, no doubt about it my friend. Best wishes Stu 😊

I have very fast hips and it always seems to be a catalyst for a very fast pulling/towing motion and i either hit a block or a pull draw. I have a home simulator and my path is always between 2/3 in to out but i can't control the face do you think pulling the handle through would help time me up? I have a relatively strong left hand and counter sqeeze my right so left hand sqeezes to the right and right hand squeezes to the left etc.
@GoodGolfCoaching10 ай бұрын
Couple a harder pull with a lighter grip you can be sure it will stop your pull draws my friend. Let me know how you get on! Best wishes Stu 😊

9:25. I like the way your right hand rolls over immediately after impact just like Dustin and Rory Why do you teach exactly the opposite of what you and other top pros do Rotate body to keep club square and no “ flipping “ ? Your club and Rory’s and Dustin are all three flipping over after impact which is exactly what a club is designed to do with the weight of the club swung at an angle
@GoodGolfCoaching9 ай бұрын
When do I say no flipping?
