[spoiler alert] Hey guys! Spirit of The Elephant here. In this comment I want to thank everyone and especially discord’s bot for this opportunity! SO few things worth to point out in the game from my perspective: - I would never let purple win. Not for what he did to my teammates - I asked green to blow up red instead of purple, because I thought red was the strongest player alive. Back then he had higher score than me and I didn’t know he basically had no eco. - I almost deleted my king in purple’s base. After orange got killed and I thought I was 1v4, you can see on minimap i moved my king next to his base. T90 didn’t spot it. I went back after 10 minutes when I realized no one is attacking me anymore 11 - I wanted to build a wonder, but after purple killed his king in my base, i had around 30 villagers scattered all over the map, no market to get the resources up, I was heavy housed AND I COMPLETELY FORGOT that there is such thing as relic victory 11

Spoilers: I honestly loved everyone in this game; purple was my favorite, but even teal and blue did their level best in a bad spot. The diplo was craaazy. It must have been SO hard to keep track of everything. I couldn't keep up and I had full vision and a caster to show me. X-D The worst part is that purple had to go early. I do think he should have stuck with grey and tried 2v1 against yellow since he'd probably beat them anyway, but the ending turned out really cool despite it with grey playing like a total boss. Red was awesome. Green was great. Orange was honorable. Just top tier work from everyone. Super entertaining.

I wonder if people would form deeper alliances if you enabled allied victories. I understand last man standings are fun, but I get curious if players are willing to occasionally trust till the end if given the option. Or maybe it just devolves into constant 3v3 or 4v4 I have no clue, I'm mostly curious to see what happens myself.

You know what would be funny to do for a community game? Sneak in 2 pro players and see how they do. But the pro players have to fight each other using diplo to influence the other players without telling them who they really are. The winner gets a nice monetary reward. Alternatively don't tell the pro players there is another pro player in the game. Then see who comes out on top.

I still don't get why Cartography was taken out from the game, it made a ton of sense. Of course the trend being making the game easier (and dumber) each time... No Cartography, less wolves, auto scout, auto farm.. I predict the devs are aiming at a game where you only micro military units like a mobile game, sad

The "devs" do not realize that they did not make this game but others did 25 years ago, they should show humility in regards to that great game and keep its spirit alive. (not changing stuff that has never been changed, not adding game altering features etc). Instead it feels like, they try to make AoE2 like the inferior AoE4 because they cannot cope with it.. or they want to keep getting paid by Microsoft, so they keep "shitty-fying" Aoe2 DE while ignoring the real issues: 1) Why are game play mechanics worse than ever? 2) Could we stop adding broken civs and instead nerf down many civs? So they all become fun again to play with? I feel like they made the game so much worse.. and it would be so easy to balance things out a bit.. with their over correction they make it worse and worse, "archers are too strong? Okay lets break them and then everyone will go scouts and knights. etc"

almost stopped watching because the salt from Armz in chat after playing poorly was unreal. T90 talked about it a BUNCH of times - they were late to the mainland, wound up in the middle of two teams after everyone had already established and built themselves up, and then expected someone would just magically want to be their friend? in what world is that player landing late not a nuisance to whoever they land near lol. then 20 minutes later they are STILL in chat complaining? unreal entitlement

Probably not. The streamer can't tell if you are saying awful or really inappropriate things if they don't know the language. Also, just for chat cohesion it's a better experience for everyone to speak the same language, and that's basically always the streamer's language. Bilingual streamers I've seen allow both.
