Hi Tammy! I'm so glad that you've found various KZbin gardening channels. You really can learn so much from them. I especially love reading comments (on my channel as well as other channels) and learning from those as well. 💞 I started doing a lot on a budget (in the garden as well as in my life) after quitting my job and raising 2 kids. I continue to be on a budget as I have 2 kids in college. Then as we approach retirement, being on a budget continues to be important. I'm so glad I can share what I've learned in terms of gardening with fellow gardeners as yourself. 😊🌸

I can surely do that. Thank you for the suggestions! This winter, I hope to share a lot of my planning process when it comes to my nursery and selling plants. I still have plants in my winter sown jugs from this previous winter. Be on the lookout for that video soon (hopefully). 🤞🏼😊🌹

I love everything about composting. It’s satisfying on so many levels to see virtually nothing going to waste. I, too, am enjoying these gardening equivalents to a fireside chat. Feels companionable, casual, and comfortable. Hope you’re feeling better soon 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻

Hi Valerie. I 100% agree with you in regards to composting! 😊 Thank you for the feedback on my garden chats. I truly appreciate it. 🙏🏼 I'm starting to feel better. Thank you! 💞

Another great video! I'm getting excited for next year's garden too. A friend of mine heard that Jack 'o lanterns would make good compost. So one year he went around the neighbourhood collecting them at the start of November. He was able to make a large quantity of compost which he generously spread throughout his garden the following spring. And then the magic happened. Before too long he had a shocking number of pumpkin vines snaking through his whole yard! 😮 I don't think he did that again!

Thank you, Maureen! We're going to have a lot of fun together prepping for next year's garden. I can't wait! 🥰 Oh my goodness! What a story! I've seen on KZbin not to throw out pumpkins and to recycle them. 🎃 I totally agree with that philosophy... however, with caution (as your friend has learned the hard way). It's great to split pumpkins open and let wildlife enjoy the pumpkin pulp and seeds. 🐿️🦌 Pumpkins cut up in pieces are also great in the compost pile as long as you remove those seeds (or heat your compost pile up hot enough so that the seeds don't germinate). A great lesson learned here. Thank you for sharing, my friend! 💞

I love the anticipation of a new growing season and it's perfect that we get the winter to dream up designs and start new seeds indoors....when I lived in Florida the garden never slept so I was constantly weeding and growing....I love the break. I have a couple of wood pallets that I was trying to figure out what to do with them....I will look up some video's, thanks for the suggestions. I was able to pick up some Promix compressed bales from Walmart for $5 the other day down in Concord - I only use these for flowers since I use my own compost and organic for my veggie garden but it was a great find.

I have only found you a video or two ago so I have a lot of binge watching to do! I am in my 70's, retired and living on one acre. I have two horses, a goat and a few chickens to help with manure. I reuse plastic drinking cups saved from friends that buy drinks from stores like Mc Donalds and Starbucks to grow plants in. I try to get free wherever I can source them. I hope to offer native plants and herbs. Looking foward to learning more from you! Great advice! Hope you heal fast, I hate colds!

Hi June. I love meeting fellow gardeners like myself that like to recycle and reuse items for their garden! 🙏🏼 Native plants and herbs are definitely popular items to sell in a plant nursery. Thank you for your continued support, my friend! 💞😊

I’m so excited to go through this journey!! Yesterday I just gathered leaves from my sisters street. Her neighborhood has tons of different lush and healthy trees. So easy to get before the street cleaners come. I gathered 2 construction bags packed down. I will be going back today.

It will be such a fun journey this winter! 🥰 That's great to hear about leaf collecting. Will you be adding them to your compost pile, spreading over flower beds, etc.? I hope you saw my recent video on what I do with my leaves. They are such great organic material for our gardens. Happy gardening, friend! 😊🍁🌸

I am so enjoying these "work alongside" type videos!! I've been gardening for a long time, but I still learn something new from each episode. Have you ever thought of starting a FB group where we could all share pictures and ask each other questions? That might be too much to take on though....I do have a winter sowing question-- I am currently dealing with some spinal issues and am wanting to keep my winter sown seeds close to the house. Do they need to be kept on dirt or can I put them on cement? Thanks ahead of time!
@juneramirez858020 күн бұрын
I keep some containers on a concrete pad in my carport. I also use old fishtank stands with a wood top to make containers easier to reach! The wood tops will rot in time, but it was what I had around the house. Hope this helps! Hope you heal also!
