Lore references on the card abilities is a great idea. I'd love to see a series on that, maybe a faction at a time.

Oh, I absolutely love the idea of "The Lore in Stat Cards". Wouldn't mind a more in depth look at the subjects of Ashes of Malifaux, but that would probably be a bit of a doozy for a single vid. Keep it up!

🔥Zhu Que 🔥 @ 13:59 You keep referring to this creature as a "Phoenix" which makes sense, but it has a mythological basis: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Vermilion_Bird Essentially, it's one of the "Four Winds" or "Four Symbols" and is associated with the element of fire. Its counterparts are the Black Tortoise of Water, Azure Dragon of Wood, and White Tiger of Metal. There is also a Kirin in the center. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Four_Symbols Genbu, the Black Tortoise has already been depicted as an Izamu alt.

Yeah I compared it to a Phoenix just as a touchstone that most people are familiar with. But thanks for the info! I had read about it a bit but I didn't know about the connection to Genbu, very cool!

🔥 Zeek bringing the rezzers on home to the Bayou where all the things happen. The lore tidbits in the cards and how the crews work is one of those places Wyrd shines. Also, you teased with a Zeek Bashe tie in...once spoilers go live that needs fleshing out, beyond they live in the same bit of Bayou goodness.

That wasn't intended as a spoiler for Ashes. I was just referring to the fact that they both live near Kythera, and there is a bit more of a connection in the TTB one shot

🔥 Altus and Ireena Keene are who I'm looking forward to! I just started Malifaux and Anya was the first crew I purchased along with Marcus to learn the game with friends, She (And DefectiveDice) started me down the Explorers Society rabbit hole, with the Crown and Thorn release timing perfectly for me to expand into it despite my intentions to actually go with Linh Ly and move over into Thunders. 😊

Idk why I didn't guess December for Bashe.. it makes so much sense based off the design! The blue eyes and white skin should've tipped it off. I knew there was SOMEthing magic about it 🔥

🔥 I love Ezekiel but I don't play ressers. It would've been cool if it still had ties to the bayou like Bashe and Raspy. Either to Wong or Zoraida would have been cool.
