Hello, i have question, Im going to book Accor chain hotels in japan with King size bed room, without breakfast by using their app (i subscribed to their membership). I will come with my girlfriend, the question is, should i book for 1 people or 2? As the price is different for 2 people in 1 room, will it be fine if i book for 1 people in 1 room?

Hi. Thanks for the question. You always need to tell them the actual number of people in the room. They are quite strict with this policy in Japan. It will affect the price at SOME hotels, but not all. You could always "fake book" on another booking site and see if there is a price difference. Good luck.

I keep finding hotels that say the bed is a "semi-double" what is that?

Thanks for the question. As far as I know a "semi-double' ROOM in Japan means a smaller than Double Room size with a smaller version of a double bed. Hotels often use this as a room size for couples only with no additional children allowed. The Semi-double bed size is somewhere between a single and double North American size, but does fit two people. Hope that helps. When booking hotel rooms, don't just go by the type of room; most sites should list the actual ROOM SIZE as well, which, in my opinion can vary a lot.

We are just 3. 2 adults and 1 kid. We are thinking we will just put 2 adults in our booking because our kid dont need extra bed. Is that ok?

I think its best to email the hotel directly. you should be able to find the contact info on the hotel's actual website. I think it depends on how old is the child, but it might be case by case. You will definitely need to mention the child but not sure if you need an extra bed or not.
