In many developing countries, the real hazards are traffic related, abandoned dogs, tripping on a broken sidewalk, street food, and being a victim of opportunistic crime (pick pockets, scammers). Sounds like for Cambodia we can add bacteria and insects.

@@philipdupont2308 Vietnam is notorious in using chemicals in their food making their it very cheap… I try to buy Cambodian grown produce vs. Vietnamese… Not sure of Thailand…

@@mhouse1572agreed… more concern with Vietnamese very cheap food products… I met several Vietnamese Americans, they prefer Cambodian beef and vegetables…

@@mhouse1572 agreed… Some Vietnamese elites prefer Cambodian products vs. their own… too much chemical use in Vietnam to cheapen the food…

Hi Dave, great videos! Coming over from Australia, do I bring mosquito spray or buy it there? Is the stuff there good. Bringing spray is hard with carry on rules. Thanks mate

I tried sending my friend money to Cambodia on PayPal. However paypal doesn't work in Cambodia.
@DaveDoesCambodiaАй бұрын
You can receive money through PayPal here. You just can't send it to any local financial institutions in Cambodia.

Don’t show off your blinks , keep away from dog/animal bites or walking while drunk at night… you will be already.

Ha, ha……Dave….every now and then, you walk down Concrete Drain Road, right past the apartment building where I stayed for a couple of months. My heart aches to come back to Siem Reap before I die of old age. 73 years old now, and winter is almost here in southern Canada. Good idea for people concerned about Rabies, is to get the pre-exposure vaccination shots before coming to south east Asia. Or get them at the Pasteur Institute in Phnom Penh. Then, if you get exposed, you need only two more shots of vaccine….and you will not need a shot of Human Rabies Immune Globulin…which can sometimes be very hard to find. AND..HRIG can also be very very expensive. If you have not had Rabies Pre-exposure vaccine shots…..you MUST have the Human Rabies Immune Globulin along with maybe four shots of vaccine. I got my three Rabies pre-exposure shots before my first trip to south east Asia. And every few years I get my blood titers checked to make sure it is still effective, or if I need a booster. Take care, and best wishes. Thank you for the videos. 🙏🏼 👏🏼 👍🏼 ☸️ 🌴 🌴 🌴 🇰🇭🇰🇭🇰🇭 ✈️

Great walk n' talk, Dave. Re. eating out and bacteria... a bit of raw garlic with meals acts as a great anti-microbial! See NIH .gov. Traditional people practice this intuitively (you often see garlic on the table of mom and pop restaurants). P.S., glad you rebounded fm those accidents! Take care.
