Perfect timing! I just got my parts back from being plated. A little refresher before building is always good.

I watched 20 videos on install of ambi-safety. This by far was the best. Explained every potential issue and how to deal with it. Kudos-a real expert.

Hi! I am planning to purchase WC 423B thumb safety, I found out it is made from cast metal would you recommend to proceed in getting that it? I could not afford the WC Bullet Proof Thumb safety (made from forged steel) so I would settle for the WC 423B model

It is really a personal decision and what you are trying to build. They is no issue with cast products if they are manufactured properly. So, the cast should be fine.

This is the opposite of the Wilson Combat video on installing 1911 safties. In the Wilson Combat vid, the gunsmith in just does it and gives almost no details on how or the intricacies of the procedure. You should buy a Fusion gun just because of these great videos.

I have never seen an ambi use a sear pin to slide on it is on the hammer pin, please know what you are saying, when you take on the teacher role
@fusionfirearms7 ай бұрын
Sir, It is not the hammer pin, it is the sear pin that "Some" Ambi will use a pin, extended pin with a slot. Yes, this is a fact.

Hi Bob...I own a 1911 chambered in .50 GI. The pistol produces so much recoil that the safety would flip up locking the pistol into safe prohibiting the next shot. I was told the proper grip position is to rest my right thumb on top of the safety lever thereby prohibiting the lock up. Would you agree with this or is the pistol malfunctioning? I don't like this happening. Is this something you can correct?
@fusionfirearms4 жыл бұрын
Not sure, I woudl have to look at it. I would start at increasing the detent in the thumb safety and then spring tension on the plunger, and try it again. This would be a good start.

Mr. Callahan, does it make audiable clicks talking it on or off? Positive no questions on/off? Have the plunger tube spring replaced, try that.
