I had my tubal ligation at the age of 30 after my 3 rd baby. Let me tell ya I was in the most severe painful pains EVER! I was dying at home for 2 straight fucking weeks internal bleeding as a result from the tubal ligation on my right side . The clamp or whatever it’s called busted and caused Inter bleeding. My hemoglobin was a 4. I passed out one 3am morning and I was taken to the er. There they did a ct scan and saw what was happening. I remember one the nurses yelling where’s the blood she’s leaving us. This mom!!!! I will never ever forget. And she started praying after they were wheeling me off to the OR. I can hear the commotion as I was losing consciousness. Remember seeing a bright light then I woke up. My ob who repaired me said Juanita this was done very very quick and they didn’t care if the clamp was secure. I’m taking my doctor hat off and telling you this as a mother. If I were u I would look into taking legal action. I’m so so sorry you lost your right tube and ovary and appendix from the bleeding. This one is a different hospital btw. Never went to the hospital I birthed all my kids and had the tubal ligation. Hate that ob and that hospital. Edit to add: my C-section was supposed to be at 12pm. They were behind that day. I ended up delivering my baby at 230pm. Wtf 😳

This is a PSA for women in the US who live in states where abortion has been completely banned. This procedure drastically increases your risk of ectopic pregnancy. The ONLY way to treat an ectopic pregnancy is an abortion which you would be denied in your state. Please consider this option very sceptically.

Treatment for that is still legal here in Texas, issue is Doctors being straight panseys and not wanting to do it due to "confusion on the law" and denying care afraid they will get hit with repercussions. Doctors that deny treatment due being scared should be stripped of their licenses and sued, law still allows to save mothers life with abortion for entopic pregnancy, its just considered treatment instead of abortion. complicated miscarriages may have issues though.

You can have medically necessary abortions in all states. When the mother's life is on the line, it is absolutely necessary and legal. The fetus will die in an ectopic situation regardless. It is elective abortion that is illegal in some states.

To make it clear Tubal Ligation is not 100% effective, there are several things that can happen. Your tubes can reattach, sometimes the egg still manages to travel through the fallopian tubes leading to normal pregnancy. Also unfortunately in some cases you get an ectopic pregnancy. Therefore it's not always permanent and it can be reversed.

Not because I want more kids but bc my hormones are way off and I have suffered from depression and anxiety since then. Never had it before the tubal. I also have symptoms that are mimicking menopause... the hot flashes are no joke. I'm only 30 😫 There is simply not enough research done on women under 30 getting this done and the docs aren't appropriately educating on the facts. And it's not bc they don't care, but like I said very little research.

This video is extremely misleading. I had my tubes tied for 20yrs and I can say without an doubt that there are not only side effects but extreme ones. The egg that's released into the fallopian tube has no way of exiting the body if it's not fertilized. The excess hormones and deteriorated cells wreck havoc on your body from beginning to end. I just urge anybody considering this surgery to please do an extensive research into the process. I had a tubal ligation. When I woke up from the surgery I was in so much pain. My first period was heavy and long. They have been heavy since I had my tubes tied. It took my a full 2 months to get over the actual surgery. Then all I felt was just bloating after the pain and tenderness finally went away. My desire for sex has almost depleted I'm not complaining about it though. Probably the 2 things that I can complain about is that I'm more tired than I have ever been before and the unsightly thick facial hair I have been growing on my face since 2 weeks after the procedure was done.

But if you get your tubes tide you can still get your period. The only differences with you tubes tied you have no way of the egg passing to the uterus and no sperm could reach the egg.

I’m 33. After I was married for a year, My brother asked me to get my tubes tied out of the blue last year as he was driving me to the grocery store. I felt so trapped as the only one with him in the car. . I told him my husband and I weren’t very close at the time, but he said he didn’t want to hear it. Also, I told him my husband and I aren’t ready to have kids but we were thinking about it in the next 10 years. He said, if you don’t know if you want kids in the next 10 years then you should get your tubes tied. His wife had her tubes tied after their second child. Later in the year, he apologized for his words and I I tried to forgive him and heal from it this year, but I just couldn’t. This was especially since he wouldn’t stay out of my life like I asked him to. I(I wanted to have this year to heal.) So now I went “no contact ” with him even though it’s hard because I don’t want to have to do that. Also, he denied ever telling me to get my tubes tied, and told me to take responsibility and tell the truth. Which I was. So I called my husband to confirm ithat my brother had apologized last year for asking me to get my tubes itied. He said, “yes.” So why would my brother apologize for something that she’s now saying that he never did? The main reason I even had to confront my brother on this is because not only was it hurting my physical and mental health, but also that of my husband. We probably can’t have kids right now anyway do to natural causes so we might adopt in the future.

I hate the medical field my gosh they have caused so much pain...they tied my tubes without my permission during a C-section! Afterwards I felt the worst feeling of doom I ever felt in my entire life I mean not before or since...I was grabbing the nurses saying "somethings wrong!!" Why do I feel this??? I wanted to crawl out of my own skin...it causes EARLY MENAPAUSE and all kinds of female problems later in a women's life...DO NOT DO THIS! It should not be an option for married couples as it's much safer and reversible for a man to do this.

It's true it is forever and one day you wake up wanting more children but you can't no more. The thing is we can never be too sure of what we want.
