as a 17 y/o digital artist, i related to a lot of these as i continue to figure out my art style. for months, even years on end, my art style would always be labeled as "anime" or "cartoonish," and to tell you the truth, i just wasn't satisfied with it. although, that was a while ago. since then i've developed a style that looks much more realistic. before that i never really paid much attention to detail, but now i do, and i'm very happy with the results :) not everyone is going to have a similar art style to you, not everyone is going to like your art style, and that's okay. if you are worried about what other people will think, don't do it for those people, do it because it's what *you* like to do. i think the best advice i've heard and that i can give to artists my age and artists who are younger is to experiment and try new things, because you learn from it. don't let the fear of messing up hold you back, we're only human. but also remember, you still made art, and you still have the ability to create something. beginner artist, amateur artist, it doesn't matter. you are still an artist, and that is a valuable skill to have 🩷

I like to draw cartoon and furry art, usually a mix of it, but mostly digitally. I may get back to traditional someday, using very more sophisticated markers than just Crayola coloring pencils as well as ink pens. I’d also like to try an anime art style someday. My art skills are not the best currently, but I’m gonna try to continue practicing so I can get better.

my art used to have an obnoxiously anime style that i got made fun of for so i've started straying to more semi realism with a more manhwa look to it, more detailed eyes, lips, diversity with face shapes and noses, etc. I use more muted colors, but a light color scheme. My art also tends to make no sense when I'm not just drawing people, like I'll put random words or poses or objects in the frame and I can't even explain why it makes me happy or what it even is. that's surrealism right? maybe?

My current Art-Style is a mix of Simple and Anime anatomy, I like when the animals look proportional, but I simplify the humans. But my favorite one is The Sims 2, these sims have anime-esque eyes and have a detailed balanced mix of cartoony and realism.

I honestly have two art styles right now. My current main art style is more simple and cartoon-like (I watched a lot of cartoons as a kid in the 2000s and used to want to make my own for TV someday,) and my other art style is aiming for a more stylised version of semirealistic, but I'm still working on it, and it's mainly just for digital paintings.

As an artist who touches into anime, semi-realism and painting, I can confirm it’s pretty accurate minus thinking your more talented than others. That sorta thinking is usually impossible for artists due to an old friend called imposter syndrome. I also do more cartoony and simple art from time to time, but that depends. I mean, my profile pic is a perfect example of the simpler stuff I do.

I like to draw black and white when doing traditional, and it's for a few reasons; coloring stuff is expensive and doesn't last long, it's fun to shade in things, figure out patterns, and incorporate contrast

I'm literally the detailed one, with realism. But sometimes it's just nice to relax and that's why I'd like to be more pastel-chibi styled (that's what I would prefer to have expensive markers for 😔)
