Memories are in your heart forever. The stuff just clutters your living space and takes a hold on your emotional and mental health

Peter is a genius. His approach to sentimental clutter was a light bulb moment for me when I first heard him talk about it on television years ago.

I recently lost my Dad in January and I have his dog tags, a set of his Army fatigues and the cribbage board we always played on with the cards I bought while at the hospital for my Mom when she had Cancer. I miss him terribly.

I don’t understand why Peter Walsh is not on A&E Hoarders. He should’ve been part of that show instead of being on Oprah, Rachael Ray et.al.

He's spoken about Hoarders in other interviews and explained what he doesn't like about it

@@kendallk1130 If he has a strong aversion towards hoarding shows, and doesn’t want to be on them, then he shouldn’t be on TV as an organizer or a behavioural psychologist, and should not have agreed to be part of that Clean Sweep deal in the first place, because that’s where shows and projects like that are going to get him eventually, plus he should be automatically and permanently disqualified from making television and media appearances as a professional organizer or behavioural psychologist who specializes in decluttering until he either retires, or pursues a career in something else.

@@ElChupacabra77B Well, la di da, aren't you special for deciding what another grown human being ought to do with his [very successful] career? Who died and made you his boss? Btw, he did have his own show; he did 120 episodes of Clean Sweep. The other commentor did NOT say that PW disliked ALL hoarding shows, just the particular show called Hoarders. He made guest appearances on talk shows, but that wasn't how he made a living.

@@edennis8578 He may be a grown human being with a successful career, but he has a stupid side to him just like you and me and everyone else, and he exposed that through his opinions and decisions based on his viewpoints on the hoarder shows. The primary reason why he adamantly refuses to do them is because he’s simply a coward, and a control freak who is incapable of handling adversity, stress, obstacles, envy, grief, anguish, disappointment, tragedy, defeat, or inconvenience, and couldn’t stand to fail, get frustrated, or antagonized in front of his fans, friends and associates. Plus he’s prone to high blood pressure, ulcers, migraines, claustrophobia, and other health issues. I don’t believe he’s in the business, because he likes decluttering, and helping people create a better vision for a healthy organized space at all, nor is he interested in solving problems for families or married couples, he’s simply an occupation promoter and a media personality, who’s only in these types of projects for the sake of money, fame and power, for entertainment purposes. That’s how he made his living.

The hoarding shows I have seen are all horrible. I saw one where the end of every show they would always say how the person was no longer in therapy. That's because the science says the way they make them clean is making them worse. The show probably doesn't care that they make them worse they just want to make money off of them.
