I just got my first docs, they are the Jodan platform piercing boots and I LOVE THEM (jus trying to break them in so I stop getting blisters 😅)

@@Fodaydontplay they honestly really are, I put 2 socks on which helped. Another tip that wasn’t in the video that helped was to hold a plastic ziplock bag on the heel when putting them in so when you walk, it causes less friction for blisters :)

Since Dr. Marten's have a huge following in the Punk culture, the author only name dropping indie bands was a little off p-utting. IL think the author probably should expand their world vision. For me, my most worn pair of Docs are my Year of the Rabbit 1460, but I have them in smooth black, oxblood and Crazy Horse as well. Been wearing them since the early 90's. Just ordered Bex Made in England cap toe Chelsea. My main listening is Metal / Punk / Classic Hip Hop and style of dress would be baggy, distressed denim and lots of music t's sometimes layered but that is only weather permitting. Got my first docs for a festival XD and they're classics. I'm tiny and couldn't find decent platform boots on vinted 😢. I put them for an hour and yeah I felt it but there's also a comfort to them. Had to put my Tim's right after.

I would like to ask you, as someone with experience wearing these boots. Is it worth paying extra for vintage ones made in England or getting regular ones? I'm going to take the first pair. Thank you!

The made in England are good but there no big significant differences. The difference for me are the leather and the option of the boots being red. The regular docs are good too. There is a lot of varieties. They have the soft leather, which are easier to break into. If you want tougher leather for work. there’s also the greasy leather, so it’s up to you to decide on which one you want.

I just ordered the 1460 pascal with black eyelets In lilac Virginia and got the black ribbon laces to go with it my boyfriend wants me to get a pair of classic blacks but I don’t think I could unless I paired it with the pink ribbon laces or even the yellow ribbon laces
