as a type 3 "edgy or angst" artist the main thing for me is that with horror of darker toned sketches there can be less restraints and expected outcomes from the style because fear and therefore horror is subjective and unique

Personally, I like to draw whatever my feelings wants me to draw, there is a girl that I draw a lot. She is like a human representation of what I am feeling, she looks nice but very tired, sad and stressed out. I usually draw scribbles around her to express the complexity of this world. I am very anxious and put a lot of pressure to myself so when ever I draw her, I feel kinda good. Not because she is suffering but because I have someone that can feel the same way I do. I like to talk to her, she means a lot to me. (Sry for bad English, I am French.)

Pretty spot on about the cute drawings one😭. I use mostly rainbow and pastel colors, though I occasionally use dark colors. And if I think my art is too muted I’ll turn up the saturation on digital pieces😭

I’m a mixture of both I guess idk I (sometimes) mix “dark” and “cute” together. Basically I draw, for example, a demon girl with blood splattered all over her face and clothes BUT she is smiling “cutely” (?) and is making peace signs with each of her hands But most of the time I just draw “dark” things without mixing it with anything (Also I’m not trying to be “edgy”)

I can say, I’m kinda the first one. I’m the second kind of person with it. I only draw hands bc I feel it’s the best drawing I can do. I’d rather draw other things as well, but to insecure to actually do it. I always try to get it perfectly when drawing hands, and if I don’t I have to keep trying till it’s atleast perfectly done. You’re very accurate with that.
