I love Angel Dust most for a ton of reasons, but the biggest is how he is so far from the 'perfect angelic victim', but it's clear the story is still framing his situation as one we should care about and want to improve for him, along with how he is sooo loyal and protective of those he cares about! His protective big brother energy was unexpected and I adore him for it! His character could have easily been a disaster, but instead is one of the most complex and written with so much care! I love Angel Dust/Anthony sooo freaking much!!!

Angel is my favorite character; I have never felt so called out by your description. I love how he shows that not all coping mechanisms are healthy, but they might matter a lot for the coper. I also love seeing a good progress story, it inspires me and makes me feel better about my own story. She was planned to be, but she was taken along with most of the cast for the planned "angels and demons" arch of Zoophobia and put into the cast for Hazbin Hotel. Alastor, Angel, Vaggie, Niffty, Husk, and Mimzy were the characters I remember were planned for Zoophobia. Charlie was a character that came much later, and there's characters that have been hinted at that were in that comic, too. Like Angel's siblings Molly and Arackniss, and the mad scientist Baxter.

I've been a fan of Mimzy since she was planned to be in Zoophobia, you're wrong about her. In the words of Marina, "I feel like im the worst, so I always act like I'm the best" her showboat attitude and need for attention is a cover for her insecurity of being worthless, and I think that means she could have a lot of potential to do better given the right circumstances. Shes funny, talented, and adorable. Her interruption saved Alastor from having to be scrapped off the walls, took the tension from high to low in less than 30 seconds, and had a killer entrance. You can't deny that leap at the end of her song was awesome. Maybe you could watch Danny Motta's reaction to her and take some notes. She's the only fat woman in the show (dont think I havent caught the fatphobia a lot of people arent very good at hiding. Im not saying you'reguilty of it, but a lot of people are). Alastor was genuinely happy to see her, he even hugged her. He wasn't even that happy to see Rosie, and they're close friends. There's so much more to her character that we didn't get to see in the time she was on screen. Her arrival and the conflict she caused set a lot of the story we saw in motion. People say shes a dumb bitch and that they dont like her, but she's a dumb bitch and I like her SO much. That being said, Lucifer is tied for my favorite. I relate to both of them.

I mean 2 of his oldest friends have outright said he is actually a good and at times sweet guy. He just has very little empathy and a very particular and strong code of ethics that doesn’t necessarily line up with others. I see him more as an animal backed into a corner at the moment which is really bringing out his worst attributes, when you have very little empathy and are put in a bad situation compassion tends to get put to the side in favour of self preservation.

I find Alistor magnetic, he’s got this enjoyable energy to him that I love and the sinister everything that he’s proud to be. Alistor is comfortable with what he is and I’ve always admired that in characters and people. Not to mention the powerful chaos demon that makes suspicious deals is my favorite kind of character. Conniving and brilliant, relying more on wit and intelligence over brute strength.

I have spent wayyy too much time analyzing his character, personally. I love how in Hell, nobody really cares about much beyond “This mf is a killer and proud of it”. During the pilot, Vaggie tells his story purely from the perspective of who he’s killed. In Dad Beat Dad, Mimzy does the same. Everybody sees him for his cold, heartless killings, but beyond that, his true strength lies in his ability to manipulate and trick. We see him warming Vaggie up to the idea of making deals with him with a simple deal that doesn’t seem significantly impactful, and he immediately knew that Vaggie’s greatest weakness was Charlie and knew exactly how to use that against her (“or I guess Charlie can come back to nothing, your choice”) and he knows how to pick someone at their weakest and exactly how to take that weakness and turn it into pure desperation (describing how Charlie had doomed everyone she loves and now everything was screwed for her, only to get her to say it was hopeless, but then “I know something you don’t know” and taunt her with this information until she said she’d do anything). In Hell, everybody sees the physical strength and that’s how Alastor is portrayed clearly, but if you stop and analyze his character, his actual strength is in how he manipulates situations and people to go exactly how he wants them to. He doesn’t even try to hide it, he shares that the reason for his 24/7 smile is to manipulate situations, yet nobody seems to actually notice how good he is at it

Gonna list my favourite characters here and try to horribly explain why Charlie and Vaggie - I like them since they both remind me of myself alot. Lute - Yeah, she's hot but I love her character design aswell. Emily - She's honestly so adorable and I wish to see more of her in season 2 !! Sir Pentious - He was a pretty hilarious character in my opinion. Mimzy - Yes you heard me, I like *mimzy.* The reason why is because her character shares the same voiceactor as Spinel from Steven Universe, who was also one of my favourites in that show. So ye, I basically have a soft spot for Sarah Stiles 😅 (mimzys and spinels va)

I just love the effect they did with Alastor's voice. And it doesn't hurt that I'm a licensed amateur radio operator and love how Marconi fits into the Titanic tragedy. (Fun fact, Marconi was in NYC when Carpathia arrived with the Titanic survivors and the radio operator who sent the distress call, who also survived the sinking, was personally commended by Marconi for his actions.) So yeah, that's why I love Alastor.
