My all time favorite song is fool. This is the story behind it: When I was really little, back when I hadn’t gained consciousness yet, we got this cat named Chance. He was a brown cat with all these crazy and unique patterns. Everyone loved him! Even my dad, which was surprising. My father isn’t really a animal person and it is very hard for him to start to get attached to one. Me and Chance’s bond was pretty strong. For some reason, I would get up really early and pour water on the floor for him to lick up. He did it quickly too. It’s like he knew I would get in trouble if he didn’t. He kinda helped take care of me in a way. I don’t think he had ever hissed at me or scratched me before. We both loved each other very much. We all did. One day, my dad had had just walked through the door of the home. Me and my brother and sister were all watching some TV in the living room. My dad walked over to chance who was in the kitchen and tried to pick him up. Instead, Chance let out a scream that I will never forget. It sounded like my dad screaming in agony. But when we asked him, he said it was Chance. I was only really little at the time so I didn’t understand the entire situation. So my very first instinct was to start screaming and crying in fear. My brother and sister had to try and calm me down as my mother (a nurse) rushed over. Turns out, he got attacked by an opossum and was too tired to fight back because he was really old. The next die, we realized he was dying. Now, the setting is the bathroom under the stairs. He was lying on his little cat bed. Before I got to see him, I had dad pick me up because I was for some reason scared of Chance. It may had been the scream that messed with me. But as soon as I saw him I told my dad to drop me immediately and I rushed over to my cat friend. He really was dying. I could tell. We stayed there all die crying and petting him as he slowly drifted off to sleep, not knowing he was never gonna wake up again. My mother had to inform me that Chance was just thinking he was going to take a quick nap, nothing else! That just made it worse for me and I bursted into tears. Me and my siblings were then taken out of the bathroom by my father, then put to bed. Now, we are in the backyard of the plot where we were fixing to moveto. Chance was…. gone. He was put into a Nike’s shoe box. Then, my dad, being a smart thinker, put some big rocks on the top of the loose dirt so an animal couldn’t dig it up. We all said our goodbye’s, laying flowers on top of his grave. It was truly one of the saddest moments I’ve ever experienced. I had just lost my childhood best friend. Nothing could have cheered me up. In fact, I still mourn him to this day. Now, onto the part that explains why my favorite song is Fool. We are now in the family van. Everyone was still crying. Especially me. I was sitting in the backseat. Crying so hard I couldn’t see and it felt like my eyes were popping out of my head. My father looked at me in the mirror and said “Hey veida, would you like some music to take your mind off of it?” Even though I didn’t respond, he put the radio on anyway. The very first song that came on was fool by cavetown. It made me feel like they understood my problems and listening to the lyrics made me think of chance, but not in a sad way. It made me grateful for all the great memories we had had. It was kind of silently telling me that it was alright, but this is just a natural cause and Chance is still in your heart and watching over me. By the time we were halfway through the song, I was ready done crying and I was just listening to the song now. I had never heard it before, but it touched my heart. Dear, Chance You have been the best animal we have ever had. You did not deserve to go like that. We all miss you so much and will never forget you. We hope to see you again someday. Considering I am an Atheist, that is very had to make me say. Not like I have anything against god, I just don’t believe in him. No day has ever passed me without the thought of you. Mine has always been "Talk to me" because I'm that one friend who is so busy making sure all my friends are alright but never taking into regard that my feeling have been having a downfall. My parents hate the world right now, including the school system so that meant taking me out of school and moving me to online school. I like online school and all, I just miss speaking to a physical being in front of me. This also means less friends. I also know I'm a furry and... well with antifurry parents. I don't really know what to do or say. I've recently had a lot more trouble breaking the ice, that and people just seem to be meaner then they used to be. A person I got out of a toxic friendship with keeps trying to drag me down that hellhole again and me being way to kind I kind of just go along with it. I mean, I want to say no but I can't. I had two besties from school but now I can't see them often, I miss them so much because they're the only two friends I had that I really connected with and loved. We still talk on the phone, but it's not the same as talking on benches at recess while discussing who's the best FNAF SB animatronic. For some reason I just have a worse view on myself then I used to. After a while your anxieties and all the problems above mix into just boiling pot of awful. So yeah, I want everyone to open up to me and tell me everything so that I can comfort people like you but I never really care about how I'm feeling. So... talk to me :)
