@@raydex5620 yeah I normally run Mask of Bakris, duskfield grenade, and a Forensic Nightmare with headstone. It's a great area control build with great movement. I normally use Fighting Lion to hit around corners or to start an engagement, and the duskfield grenade to force my opponent to go a certain way. The headstone perk is paired with whisper of shards to get my grenade back. Also Forensic Nightmare just feels and sounds good regardless of there being better options.

Happy holidays to those celebrating, and I wish for a good day to everyone! How many of these did I get right or wrong? What exotic is your favourite? When I went through all these exotics, I realized just how much of a difference in quality some exotics have in terms of ornaments. Riskrunner isn't the most popular exotic out there nowadays but every single ornament it has is beautiful, while Vex Mythoclast has two chrome paint jobs and a decent recolour. You were dead wrong on Ticcus and Duality. Those weapons exist solely for people to ruin Crucible matches by their users trying to finish the Catalyst quests that require Guardian kills. I have single handedly ruined dozens of matches and Im still nowhere close to done. You only get two shots with Duality on spawn and unless they get me a kill, I die so I can respawn to try again. If I am on your team, you will NEVER win that match, because I am singlehandely responsible for feeding countless points to my enemies due to not being allowed to use other weapons to for this. Assists dont count and that weapon has to be the one to get the kill. And until Bungie removes the PvP requirements to get those weapons catalysts, I will continue to ruin, without a single hint of shame, hundreds of players pvp experience. Bungie either needs to remove that requirement or make champions or other powerful pve enemies count towards progressing it because nothing is goimlng to change otherwise

Last season I started using Le Monarque as part of a "You know what, let's just try to clear out some of these unfinished catalysts I've had forever" tidying-up. And then it just had such incredible handling, add clear potential, and backup DPS potential that it stayed glued to my side and I got ten thousand kills with it in one season. Currently forcing myself to mess around with new options, but then I go back to the Lemon as soon as it feels like it's Serious Content (with no barrier champs present)

I don't think Wavesplitter is my favorite but hear me out on this; the orbs of light change opened up a rather interesting pve build. It's not fantastic but basically make orbs for both the exotic perk and cwl for extra reserves which it can proc because it's void damage. I need to double-check if the suppress effect works with Void 3.0 though... EDIT: Also, of course, orbs for Devour too.

@@average_trans_furry I have an absurdly powerful Wavesplitter build on a Star Eater Scales hunter. I've used it in GM's and solo flawlessed the new dungeon with it. Extra reserves on this thing allows you to comfortably use double special weapons, which also means you get a lot more heavy drops. Wavesplitter was a gun I had less than 100 kills with before the rework. Now it's literally my highest kill weapon, with over 18,000 kills. People are sleeping on this gun so damn hard. It's what Ager's Scepter is for stasis warlocks but for void hunters.

Skyburner's Oath has a very strong synergy with weighted knife on hunter, as it's effect includes instantly igniting any enemy afflicted by scorch, which skyburner's now applies following a buff. Still takes 2 or 3 shots to scorch, though. Nailed it on the Ruinous Effigy, though. I love heehoo weapons like it, but I'll never not miss the seasonal mod that glitch-buffed the slam and desperately wish the catalyst was actually useful.

Skyburner's also works decently well with solar titan since kills with it generates sun spots though enhanced incandescent and other exotics tend to have better damage.

I absolutely loved Ruinous when it came out, and the season when the orbs damage was buffed was insanely fun. I can't wait to see how much the new rework in Lightfall is going to do for it. Its been a long time since I used it so I'm going to have to take it out of my vault and try it on my gyrfalcons build. Also, I love Skyburners. I used to use it even in its base form and although it was definitely underwhelming, it was awesome because it actually looks like a gun we took from the Cabal, and thats one of the things I miss from D1, the fact that the raid weapons actually look like they come from whatever enemy type we faced in the raid.

Funny thing about The Manticor, just yesterday I was using it during a solo attempt in Deep Stone Crypt. It went really, really well to my surprise; might be due to Void Hunter, but eh. The Manticor's one standout issue for me is that its perk activates if you leave the ground at all, and that the only fast way to "toggle" its perk is to swap weapons. Also, for anyone wondering how that solo raid went, I had to abort it when the door to the first encounter literally would not open.

If you try it again, I would recommend trying to walk through the first door into area from the sparrow section, and only getting on your sparrow once the new area name pops up. For some reason there have been increasingly more issues with different areas loading up because we transition too quickly through one area to the next. Forsaken Veterans will remember having to crouch walk up the stairs in to the Blind Well to actually get a matchmade instance, otherwise you were sat there waiting and just hoping that people joined your instance 😂

I love Hard Light, but there is a big issue with the way Fundamentals distribute the buff. Namely: Void grants Stability and Aim Assist - but you’re already at 90 Stability and 100 Aim Assist so the benefit is minimal Arc grants Range and Handling - but it turns out there is no noticable damage dropoff, so you only benefit from the aim assist extension.

Fighting Lion plus an aggressive frame sniper with explosive rounds has been one of my absolute favorite builds in the crucible especially for 3v3 and it is criminally slept on. Thank you so much for this! I can't wait to hear what you have to say about my baby Le Monarque. I find it difficult to stop carrying it. Edit upon watching: Damn I'm called out. I have 30k bow kills and 90% came from Le Monarque before you could track kills with it. That bow comes natural to me. I legit carry with this bow, biting winds, and hero of ages. I themed my entire nightstalker hunter around being a knight, even down to armor to look like it. When I saw it got a catalyst, I was so excited. When I saw it got an ornament? I got it immediately. People don't realize how dangerous a hunter that can weaken and suppress enemies, go invisible, AND constantly heal while dealing aoe stacking tick damage is. The fact it now also takes care of overload champs? I can't be told it isn't the best bow in the game.

Fighting Lion: There is a small amount of joy you hold in your heart for the fact that this weapon allows for all three of your weapon slots to be the same weapon type but still uses all three ammo colors, something that no other weapon classification can do. Sunshot: you may be one of the few still running warmind cell builds. Graviton: You are addicted to volatile weapons courtesy of void 3.0. Skyburners: you miss the old speed and feel of the hipfire mode, even if the new one is far better, and are glad the catalyst finally does something. Borealis: You despise match game but don't want to feel like others who run arbalest, you make it part of your pve loadout whenever AB sniper comes around. Risk runner: you play a LOT of fallen-based content. Hard light: you farm bounties enough that it becomes second nature to equip this to save time on elemental kills Promethius: You understand the power of double-special ammo builds and run this on solar damage rotations. Telesto: if you played during the Telesto event, you wish the slow shots became an alt-fire mode to create air-traps in pvp and were sad to see it wasn't a permanent addition. Polaris lance: You silently bide your time for a solar 3.0 update. Trinity ghoul: You are genuinely surprised to see entire armies last more than a few seconds. Wavesplitter: You definitely defended the orbs of light update even though the head armor slot was very contested even before the change Lord of wolves: when it isn't being reworked, you enjoy it for what it does but perhaps wish it's next inevitable overhaul makes it fire the same way that fallen shrapnel launchers do. Lemonarche: You sometimes forget to take off overload bow mods when swapping to this weapon, or forget that intrinsic weapons do not stack up on their mods (no overload+barrier at the same time) Jotun: You might keep a collection of (undeserved) pvp hatemail replies as trophies of your funny fireball emitter. The best part is you know if they had a shred of situational awareness, those haters might have not have been your next toasty target. Tarrabah: You use auto-loading pgls, snipers, and rockets to reduce time spent not using this weapon (if your not then I recommend trying it) Eriana's vow: You hate it when someone brings up arbalest when you talk about how much you like this weapon, seriously let people use other options! Divinity: Now that tether does a higher debuff you have had to adjust to using actual weapons on bosses with forgiving crit requirements. Symmetry: the only thing that would vindicate you more than a straight damage/arc3.0 buff is if it got back its champion stunning glitch as a full-on feature. Devil's ruin: you probably have sidearm loading mods equipped for maximum beam uptime. Tommie's matchbook: whether it be for the damage buff or pure masochism you wish you could skip straight to the overheat instead of wasting a portion of the mag on the normal firing mode. Fourth horseman: You have been stomped into the floor more times than you can count. Ruinous effigy: You wish you didn't need volatile weapons just to get a kill with it, once the orb spawns it's fun and games but getting there is the real exotic quest. Duality: You claim it's all for the sake of versatility but you probably use the slug mode exclusively despite chaperone working better for that playstyle. Cloudstrike: You WILL upload any and all clips you have of pvp multikills, even if its just a team of two it's going online. Ticuu's divination: You may have some subconscious jealousy for the minimal effort trinity ghoul needs to do to get the same amount of kills if not more. Vex mythoclast: after all that effort to get it you probably have tried at least one attempt at a vex fashion loadout to match it, R.I.P. players who never got the season of the undying ornaments. Lorentz driver: You utterly despise how ugly the base model is, if you didn't get the season pass ornament it only adds more salt to the wound. Edge of concurrence: the amount of synergy that came with arc 3.0 gives you an obsessive tingling sensation, and it's not from the alt-fire. Edge of action: you cannot refer to the pocket bubble as anything other than gumdrop jail, if you didn't call it this before you will now. Edge of intent: you do not exist, if you do something in seriously wrong with you, there are better legendary solar glaives, better healing exotics (lumina) and better exotic glaives. No synergy beyond solar damage, no niche, it's just a failure all around. You probably use salvation's grip for combat and alt-fire cerberus+1 while your at it. Dead messenger: You probably swap to this whenever feeling indecisive about exotics and have an energy slot fre- SCREW THIS I NEED TO COMPLAIN ABOUT EDGE OF INTENT MORE!! IT SUCKS SO BAD IT DOESN"T EVEN TRIGGER EMBER OF BENEVOLENCE WHY BUNGIE WHYYYYYY Collective obligation: you probably went out of your way to make it work due to how many runs it took to get rather than it's viability. Trespasser: You thank bungie for not making this a year 1 d2 weapon, because it would have been changed to a different archetype and had it's perks altered for no good reason just like crimson was into red death, or Zhalo into riskrunner Delicate tomb: If you aren't a warlock then you must really be obsessed with he other two classes to miss out on a max Ionic trace build. Manticore: Your heart sinks whenever you see the grounded modifier active. Hierarchy of needs: You are a true fashion-forward guardian using stowed weapons to make mecha wings.

At first I thought it was cool but middle of the pack, maybe around B tier. Then it moved into S tier afterward, and I was like “fuck, now I might want this thing”. Who else remembers when Hard Light was ruining Iron Banner? The Death Donut.... Never again... NEVER AGAIN!!! (For the New Lights, Hard Light used to not have Damage Falloff and literal nigh infinite range... And in The Crucible we had a Tangled Shore map that was a couple of rooms and side jumping paths... With the main engagement area being a giant ass donut with the hole being another room and the donut itself being a giant hallway... Hard Light was a nightmare.)

@@matthewgoodson9275 I believe that most of the year 1 exotics need a rework to their catalysts. For example Sunshot most definitely needs some kinda of interaction with Scorch and Ignitions. I had an idea for a Graviton catalyst rework where when the enemies that you killed exploded, whatever enemy they damaged would then become volatile, thus leading to more explosions. Just some way for them to interact with the 3.0 verbs

The Vex one describes a good friend of mine, his fireteam member got it on like the 4 clear and he had to do like 50 clears before getting it, now the kills he has on it make up 5% of the kills he has gotten since he got the game when it came out.

Still crazy how underrated skyburners has always been. Even with the nerf a season or 2 ago, its now as good as any scout when you aim, and pre merf the hipfire was extremely good if you didnt count the random ghost bullets. I do kind of understand nerfing it, it was borderline op, but the ghost bullets kept it in check despite being a bug and not a feature. Give us our old skyburners back man, it was better

I love polaris lance because not only does it synergize with solar 3.0, not only does it share TTK's with 150 Hand Cannons, but it really shines in Gambit! It can map anyone on almost any map, so it's an invader killer. Plus, it has a lot of flinch so it deals with snipers. Does great sustained damage on the primeval.

lol holy hell.... so it took me 48 clears to Mythoclast and that was the one weapon I wanted to check on. It took me about as many clears in Destiny 1 as well, which is strange, seeing how 3 raid exotics have dropped first clear for me and no other one than this has taken more than 10. Good video

4:04 I solely used Hard Light in D1, as it was a stellar weapon. I was so hyped when I finally got it in D2, to be thoroughly disappointed with it's performance.

Hard light and borealis are probably my favourite two exotic energy weapons. If I'm solo I prefer to run hard light if my kinetic slot is taken up with something, but as a general rule I'm mostly using either witherhoard or arbalest so I don't get to use it often

Funfact about telesto. In the Cabal drill public event where you have to destroy the 3 vents. You can shoot telesto at the closed vents, once it explodes it still deals damage, you need about 4shots per vent. Now all you have tido is watch the other players around, beeing confused how the event is allready heroic

For PvP: Graviton Lance (that back then in Momentum Control 😎) Vex Mythoclast (only sometimes) For PvE: Coldheart (pure fun back then) Merciless (always loved it, but after auto laden was gone it wasn't that good anymore) Graviton Lance (pure fun) Borealis (requires Anti-Barrier, got it first in S13 and was awesome) Vex Mythoclast (fun) Hierarchiy of Needs (nice damage, but only with Catalyst and at a distance of +30 meters) If I had to choose, I couldn't choose between Graviton Lance, Vex Mythoclast and Borealis

Man I wish graviton lance would get a nice PVE catalyst rework. The vorpal/turnabout feels kinda useless in PVE. Plus the cosmology orbs usually don’t hit anyone due to the enemy being flung backwards behind all enemies.

Honestly i use hard light only because it has the 3 first elements which is useful when it comes to discover secrets on some places, and also usefull for match damage on shields

I would definitely add for Jotunn that if you’re a pvp player you overly rely on this weapons tracking because you are too lazy to develop any skill or it’s your back up if you’re loosing a comp match.

I think hardlight is really good for maps with flat terrain and lots pf enemies. The piercing bullets and big mag are great. Works wonderfully if you pair nezarecs sin with it. It even lets you get a ton of super and ability cooldown if you use nezarecs on non void classes with it.
