It also drives me crazy when I am at a restaurant and see someone who is ignoring the people sitting at the table with them because they are carrying on a conversation on their cell phone. If you cannot bear to leave your phone turned off while you are having dinner with someone, I can certainly understand because after all, it might be the Pope or maybe King Charles, and you wouldn't want to miss them. If it's anyone else, how about saying hello and then immediately explain that you are having dinner with someone and you'll call them back in a couple or three hours and then end the call and interact with the person sitting across from you. BTW, the very next time someone starts a lengthy conversation on their cell phone when I am the one at the table with them, I plan to pull a book out of my purse and just sit there and read and continue reading long after the phone conversation is over. I know of no other way to perhaps get it through to people how rude they are being. Would it be rude of me to sit there and read? Of course, but if you can't beat 'em, join 'em. I have a cell phone for MY convenience and primarily so I can phone for help if I have car trouble. I keep it in my purse, turned off, and I wait to carry on conversations until I get back home and can use my house phone. I am not a trauma surgeon and I'm not a police officer so probably no one will be in any sort of imminent danger if they can't reach me for an hour or so. In the meantime, I can enjoy being with the person I am actually with! Your comment about the person who was so loud on the cell phone sort of got me wound up because this is a pet peeve of mine. I just found you today and the first video I watched was your visit to the gigantic Kroger's, I believe somewhere in Georgia. I'm glad I found you and I subscribed. The next video I watch will be of your visit to Buc'ees and I look forward to binge watching other videos of yours. I think I enjoy them so much because of the great interaction between the two of you. Good job!

Thank you so much! ❤️❤️ I never thought about the book idea! That’s genius because everyone expects the phone to take your attention away but a book will definitely throw them for a loop and make them understand how they’re making you feel!
