Mary Jane, I first saw you and heard of your channel in your video with Jon with Here Be Barr. I have since subscribed to your channel and I have thoroughly enjoyed your videos, tips, and your travel philosophy. You are quite a bit younger than me (I am 50, but I feel like I am 30!) but I find you relatable because our travel philosophies are similar...spend as little as possible on accommodations and save money for experiences and generally, travel on a tight budget. I wish I had had the wherewithal when I was your age to live a lifestyle like yours...a full time traveler! I am very envious but you inspire me to work toward such a lifestyle. Hi Mary Jane. I’ve newly discovered your channel and I love your videos! Should you have a craving for a Pastéis de Nata while in Manhattan let me recommend the Joey Bats Cafe on Allen Street. And you might consider a visit to the Ironbound section of Newark, New Jersey-an easy trip on the PATH train from Manhattan-which is filled with Portuguese and Brazilian restaurants and shops. It’s a short walk from Newark Penn Station.

Wow thanks for this video. We are Australians with part of our trip to London via Dubai. And we'll be flying to NYC from London via Lisbon. This is the Lisbon experience we will be hoping to adopt, provided we can extend our 4.5 hour stop over to say 2 days, or maybe even 4 days to visit the Nacional Gereg Park, near Porto. Hey Haifa, I didn't have any checked luggage (I never travel with checked luggage and I'd recommend you the same if you travel for tourism, I talk about it in other travel videos of mine) so I'm not able to answer your question, sorry. As for the hand luggage I took it with me because I didn't mind having all my stuff available and saving some money from the locker room at the airport.

Hey Mary! A quick question. How do you deal with a cold or bad stomach if you catch one on your trips? Do you carry a first aid kit or something?

Of course I do. But it's something I always carry with me, travelling or not, that's why I haven't metioned it in my videos. I have a little box with some Paracetamol for either fever or as painkiller, Imodium for diarrhea, Plasil for stomach batteria and personally I have a dose of antibiotic for when I get cystitis.
