@45:50 she is right about the change in methodology for CPI. it was altered to reduce the government payouts to social security through CPI escalation. if you use the old method from the 70s, the current inflation is in the 15-20% range. the biggest adjustment was to downward bias Rents. instead of using actual rents they switched to a proxy estimate that grossly understates rents.

first time I heard this lady-she is brilliant-she even understands malinvestment from free money, and the shortage of natural gas in New England. New England would like a gas pipeline, but the state of New York will not provide the permits necessary to cross New York from Pennsylvania. So New England is heavy dependent on LNG imports for heating and power generation. If it is an extremely cold winter for extended period, likely to have electric blackouts in New England this winter.

A legality question re non USA exchanges, crypto coins etc wouldn't the fact that a certain transaction that goes through the blockchain would technically also go through the USA which has close to 2000 nodes? Would this not entitle the US to go after scammers no matter what jurisdiction they come from?

I got really into Bitcoin and Litecoin in early 2017. I viewed all other crypto as shitcoins. Overtime I lost conviction in Litecoin and in February 2021 I converted all my LTC to BTC. I no longer see a use case for LTC.

@@john-paul7325 LTC is usefull where BTC lacks. Transaction speed/cost and privacy/fungability. It's a sleeper as it won't really shine until BTC starts to really slow with adoption. Lightning is awesome but you still have to fund the channels, liquidity, etc.
