Would you swap your steering wheel for a yoke? YES or NO? 👇🥚

No. Yoke seems like a unnecessary marketing gimmick

Tried it and NO from me, didn’t like it in the city, in the mountains on twisty roads it was in a class of its own. Felt like a kid playing in the arcade… 😊

I will never understand why people chose larger wheels when it means significantly lower range and a worse ride.

Small wheels on a big car can look out of place. I'd go for the 20" wheels on this car. Comfort is less of an issue these days, manufacturers have worked it out - the suspension on my BMW iX3 is s class level comfort on 20" wheels.

I have owned modern luxury cars and classic luxury cars. The classic cars have a much smoother ride than the modern ones. Modern cars all try to be sporty, hence they have large wheels with low-profile tyres.

This is the best design interior exterior for Lexus so far. other suv brands blunt design big screen over design Nothing inside just a wide screen.😅 White seats like maternity hospital. The down side here is the miles range. They should do 300-400 miles range. Same as their hybrid( Toyota Lexus) Has over 300-450 miles range. I do like to change my hybrid if the have that range. I travel far places throughout Europe. I’m 100% confident for my hybrid because has a over 400 miles range( 450). Summer or winter. Perfect car for me. No waiting of charging plans ahead looking charging stations or parkings with charging stations. The hybrid can handle both world.

Winter range in any car will decrese by 10-20% because laws of physics. Unless you live in a tropical climate.

The variable steer by wire with a wheel for me please. Getting out of my apartments cramped underground car park, requires 4 or 5 rounds of going lock to lock (depending on how I parked) within a minute. Its a serious amount of arm twirling, that I’d rather do away with.

Ok, I know Lexus buyers that switch to Tesla, anyway, if the RZ 450e offered better range, I think Lexus would be shocked how well it could do, but with its range, can Lexus really justify its starting price and one wonders, how it would do with a lower starting price, overall, I would rank it, behind the Tesla Model Y (better EV in every way, note I said EV), next, the Cadillac Lyriq (one of Cads best model to date and feel worth its price), following the BMW iX (a problem, you have to look at it and dark colors look better) and next the Mercedes EQE SUV (I would wait for it), this may be a stretch, but I have the RZ 450e tied with the Audi e-tron (or upcoming 2024 Q8 e-tron, the name change), crazy but both of these EVs suffer the same problem, range, as for the Genesis GV60 (it's too small, enough said), I know Audi has the Q4 e-tron (it's fine, but wasn't a fan of the VW ID.4, so), I kind of always pull for Lexus or Cadillac vs the Germans, one would ask why didn't Lexus offer quicker charging and a larger battery pack, overall, it's what I expected from the first Lexus EV, given the fact Toyoyta's not a big EV fans
@joey-pn3xe Жыл бұрын
Why is the battery so small? I don't understand Toyota's reasoning for some of these products. I get they're betting on Hydrogen but there's no point putting out half hearted attempts.
@arnegerhardsen37558 ай бұрын
Hello. Thanks for your review. A lot of people don't need longer range and then it' nice that you don' need to drive around with 200 kg batteries you don't need. Yes, 18 wheel make a much better car, better comfort, less noise and longer range.

The idea to use IR heaters is inspired...! I hope that catches on with other manufacturers offering those, too - maybe they could even be fitted in the headlining, to 'wash' heat down on to users from above...? "Heat the human", as we keep being told...! 👍

Hello. The guessometer in RZ is showing some higher consumption than you really have.
@benjaminsmith2287 Жыл бұрын
The review is good but why give that clickbaity title? It's terrible. Nothing about the yoke in the Lexus is like the implementation in Teslas (the latter is just a regular mechanical steering wheel with a yoke instead of a steering wheel). And I'm honestly tired of hearing about Tesla. This Lexus has enough unique features to stand on its own without having Tesla in the headline. And the benefit of steer by wire is it's more efficient and doesn't require so much turning. That may be the future of steering.
@bodrulm1 Жыл бұрын
Tesla is a white good. A high commodity product. I think journalists are out of touch. I don't think the general public are swooning over Teslas, plenty of other attractive options on the market.

It looks different in a very good way, well done Lexus, what took you so long?
@964tractorboy Жыл бұрын
I'm no Lexus expert, but (to me) the grille looks every bit as large as previous incarnations; and "ugly as". I would also argue that having to spend another 4k for the inclusion of radiant heaters to extend the range is some serious back-handed logic when you've now spent a chunky 66k.
@bondjamesbond9041 Жыл бұрын
It does not think it is a Tesla as unlike Tesla the build quality is far far superior and it won't break down.

Dunno about these huge wheels. All that unsuspended weight, thin tyre side walls susceptible to pinch flats, hugely expensive tyres. Sure why not for a Ferrari but a family SUV?

This RZ looks way better than the BMW and better build, material quality comes as standard with a Lexus. I think it is a nice car but the battery pack is to small and the range, good for daily driving but a disadvantage for Lexus imago wise. The RZ had very very bad reviews in Europe due to the focus on the average range. Huge imago damage for Lexus and Toyota, will cost them billions to restore the once green imago of Toyota......
@adetone3252 Жыл бұрын
Nice car but it needs to do 300m+ Looks like the driver is using his shoulders to steer using the yoke which looks very uncomfortable. Why doesn't such a big car have a glove box .. very useful for hiding small valuables safely. This one is not for me.

Just one more EV with a poor range and slow charging, what folk want is a real world range of 450 miles even in the cold and 10-90% charge in 15 minuets plus a Tesla topping charging network, but the truth is Car manufactures don't care about charging once you have left the showroom, except of course Tesla.
