I’m not keen on fully digital controls. I wish car companies would keep some of the basics like heating, as physical controls. Any type of control that means taking your eyes off the road for more than a second is dangerous. And please bring back the physical control dial in the centre console. I don’t buy into fully digital as progress.

I will not buy this car because of the lack of a proper dashboard/controls. The all screen trend is horrific. Especially when they block half the damn windshield. Pathetic attempt to save cost but generate HATE from actual paying customers. We are slowly making them go back to something that, well, works.

Audi made a big mistake when they removed the infotainment rotary dial from one of the previous model updates. Way too complicated to be touchscreen only.

The new Q5 looks pretty good - the proportions are better. There was something I didn’t like about the previous one. I think it was the windows at the rear. I wish they’d hidden the rear wiper - it seems rather downmarket of them to have it visible and clutters up the rear but otherwise I like it.

@@CrissPons its not bc of tht in my personal opinion the main reason is we are in failing economy and prices of gas will likely skyrocket that ppl will be unable to afford. Electric vehicles is a way to mitigate that im sure that in another 15yrs it will be a lot better cost wise to run an electric car aswell as make money off of government charging stations or taxes on 3rd party charging stations. Its better to make money off of that then have a load of gas yk ppl aren’t going to buy bc they can’t afford it.

DISAPPOINTMENT!!! Nice outside, but cheap screans instead of buttons for climate control, black shiny plastic, micro hand rest box🤮. And the car itself costs a lot. Pitty that vag group doesn’t listen to customer demands and puts screans everywhere(. 3-rd screen is waste! That is the reason why I won’t consider new Q5 to be my next car. So… no buttons - no Audi!!!

Swiss buyer here: The Sq5 or a "normal" diesel (since no diesel Sq5 available now) could be my choice. After my current 55Tfsi-e plug hybrid that i love but...honestly i regret not buying the 2023 Sq5 instead.

I had a 2018 SQ5 and it was absolutely fantastic. It never even had one mechanical issue. I switched to a BMW 3 series, which is great… but I miss the SQ5 and will likely be going back to it for this generation 🙌

With vehicle manufacturers moving towards button less cockpit designs, how has this impacted the road safety? I personally do not prefer this approach & that's why staying away from Tesla. It would be good to keep and eye on the road safety reported numbers like no. of accidents & their causes.

You couldn't because there was a spare tire there, that is now gone 9:15 also why the lower floor Another handy practical addition would be a spare tire , so you are not phuct if you get a flat Audi added real exaust pipes and took deleted the spare tire BMW X3 put the spare tire back in for $400.00 And took off the exaust So, I will get the X3 for the spare tire , among other things

Have to see test in person. Didn’t realize no physical button to navigate screens. Have to see if finger print smudge builds on the screeen, that would look terrible. I like the new design. Not sure about Audi going all electric after this model. Have to believe they’ll lose a lot of customers in the US. If gas prices drop what’s the point? We’re just not there yet when it comes to all electric vehicles, sorry. Will also look at the new Lexus RX 350 and BMW X5 as a comparison apples to apples, lay this all out.
