Glad I wasn't the only one struggling with the idea of putting down my PGR too early.The early PGR results have been impressive.

Sam, thanks so much for watching. As I mentioned in this video, I'd never thought of going out with it this early. What type of turf do you have?

Nathan, thanks so much for watching. And yes, just trying to do my little part in spreading some positivity. As for using PGR to help with fill-in, I mentioned to someone else that I kay have used it too close to warmer temperatures. Soon after I applied, warmer temps arrived in my area, and the grass started to flourish. So it's tough for me to say how much the PGR really helped in my case. Maybe I need to start using it earlier next season to really see how much it helps with grow-in.

Oddly curious if the dropped down PGR would also be beneficial on Northern cool season lawns? As opposed to over seeding small bare patches. Love your content J.G. keep it up

Chuck! Thanks for the encouragement. Man, I know nothing about cool season and won't pretend to. Never had it myself. I see rye around here when fellow lawn guys overseed with it in the Fall, but I can't say I remember any of them ever mentioning the use of PGR on it. Sound like a question for Rey.

Me too. I have a Fescue/KBG lawn in Northern CA and we are still considered transition Zone and it’s really late to be throwing down seed but I am toying with using T Nex to help the seedlings to catch up if they survive the heat. If not, fall is only 4 months away.

Your yard is looking real nice sir. Awesome personal accountability advice 😍 my friend. Years ago I told all coworkers, if you came to talk about someone I would rather not engage in that unless it's positive. It's a peaceful way to avoid conflicts.

That's interesting did you tour with a band or are you performing currently? Anyway I threw down a smidge of pgr with ya and I have mowed a couple times since then. Just a little off the top each time. Such a small amount I didn't even bag. "I always bag to reduce weed spread". All my surrounding neighbors have weeds.

i need a few spots to fill in as well from last season sand leveling when we didnt get enough rain (im in Texas as well). Perfect timing!! My yard is looking pretty bad ass for May 4th.

Yeah, timing a leveling project is important. One year, I did it too late, and it didn't finish filling in before the Fall temps hit. But the following year, it was on fuego. 🔥

What type of tip do you use and if you use the t jet AI tip. How do you get it to not leak when you let go of the trigger.
@thelawnrenaissance
@thelawnrenaissance Жыл бұрын
For most apps, I wind up using the AIXR1104 due to better drift management. My street usually has a pretty constant breeze, so I've the AI tip to reduce losing my tank mix. As for the dripping when releasing the valve trigger, I sometimes have to remove the tip and "reseat" it on the gasket. I think it all has to do with how the tip's bezel sits between the cap and the gasket when I reinstall it after cleaning out the mesh filter.

Wow I just had this conversation with myself almost 3 weeks ago! But after I applied PGR I could see fungus trying to creep in (not blaming PGR, I have dealt with fungus at this time of year past 2 years)So my grass was stunted by that. Did you feel like PGR helped fill in?
@thelawnrenaissance
@thelawnrenaissance Жыл бұрын
Hey, Justin. Thanks for watching, man. Honestly, it's hard to say. Even though I was "early" in the season for PGR for my area, I think I need to start using it earlier if I'm looking for help with grow-in. Shortly after I applied, the temps got a bit warmer and we had a ton of rain, so naturally growth potential went up. So it's tough for me to say how kuch the PGR helped. Certainly, it slowed down vertical growth and also, turf under regulation tends to hold color better. So I saw those effects in place.
