JackyBear! Thank you, sir. Tons of rain this Spring. Hope we can all continue to get rain through the summer.

@@thelawnrenaissance Yes Sir, we are really getting our fair share of rain this year... Been focusing on my beds this year, so my shrubs are getting watered in very well...

@StillTheJackyBear I just cleaned my flower beds up a bit...cut off all the dead stuff. But I really need to show them more love. Need to bust out my headge trimmer and sculpt the boxwoods.

Looking great Jay! My backyard is going downhill and think I’m dealing with fungus. Typically when I apply fungicide is when I need it as opposed to preventative. What is your schedule & rotation throughout the year?

You ever tried a PGR? I just bought some T Nex and made my first app 5 days ago. Probably looking at re-applying every 12-14 days here in central Texas during the hottest part of the summer. I applied my first app at full strength for my Tifway 419 (.38 oz.) and never had any yellowing. I did apply some FeAture at the same time, so that may have helped.

Hey, TPack. Absolutely. It's something in my program. I also use T-Nex, although I have been curious to.try a two other PGRs that offer some different things. Once the heat really gets going around here, you're gonna find that you'll need to reapply every 10 to 11 days. (If you follow GDD's.) I see people being a little loose with their subsequent apps. It's so easy to punch your app info into a GDD calculator and get an ACTUAL reapplication day. As for the bronzing, it happens sometimes, and sometimes it doesn't. The general rule is to always apply some N (and some foliar iron) with your PGR to reduce the chance it'll bronze. But it's still happens sometimes, and when it does, it typically only happens in the first 1 or 2 apps.

Great video, what sprayer tip did you use? And did you water in right away or next day?
@thelawnrenaissance6 ай бұрын
I generally use the TeeJet AIXR11004. It's usually breezy around here, so the bigger droplets from the air induction helps mitigate drift. And no, I did not water my application in. My main target is dollar spot, and since it's a foliar disease I want the droplets to land AND STAY on the leaf. So I let it dry for at least a day. If I was targeting a systemic fungus, then I'd water it in to get it down closer to the roots. Thanks so much for watching.

Great looking lawn...and no fertilizer app this season? Wow! I'm planning on applying preventative fungicide this coming week, what with all the rain we've been getting and elevated temps and humidity. I am going to apply Scotts DiseaseEx (bought it on sale) and spraying Propiconazole (using TeeJet AIXR110004 tip as suggested) on my Tifway 419. Dealt with some Dollar Spot and possibly brown patch last season. Was thinking of getting Cleary's 3336F fungicide and go totally liquid (no more DiseaseEx) for better coverage...do you think 3336F is better than Azoxystrobin to pair with Propiconazole for what I have to deal with?
@thelawnrenaissance6 ай бұрын
Thanks so much for watching! You're fine using the azoxystrobin with the propiconazole, because the azoxy is a Group 11 fungicide while the prop is a Group 3. And actually, there is a fungicide that is both azoxy and prop. It's called Strobe Pro. I've never used it and have never read the label. But that may be an option.
@melmagsino53506 ай бұрын
@@thelawnrenaissance thanks...looked up Strobe Pro and it's a lot like Syngenta's Headway G...and when I checked out Strobe Pro, the more affordable one comes in granular form while the liquid can be quite expensive and not readily available in the usual online stores I get my stuff from.
