@allyoades84184 жыл бұрын
I always thought those two were in white because of the link to the lyrics. Jimin says he doesn't know where to go and that the shadow is growing under him. Immediately after that, V literally appears from directly behind him and overtakes his spot. V, the shadow, is then gone when RM comes in and sings about how he's aware of the shadow and overcomes the shadow. The others sing about how they've overcome the "shadow" and fight, but Jimin was the only one who refered to his shadow, V, growing. Just my take on it.

@@scaperobinson6294 Of course they're all talented. Bighit does seem to give each member their moment to shine even though JK is supposed to be the center, and remember JK is the ONLY member to not have a proper solo music video (the official Euphoria video was a group effort) even though EVERYONE else had one for their solo songs. IMO, I find that very unfair for JK. Last year, their biggest hit was Boy with Luv and new fans thought that Jimin was the center. Even though JK is the center, most of the time it doesn't really seem like it, since other members do have their time to shine too.

Haha okay whew I'm back after watching the whole thing. I couldn't even contain myself. First of all: BLAZE! I'm glad this song has already helped you! Damn, that's the power of BTS man... songs saving people the day they drop! Crazy. And I'm SO glad you pointed out the "Find me and I'm gonna bleed with ya" line. I don't see any other reactors pointing that one out, and it is my favorite line in the whole song. It brought tears to my eyes when I watched the video with subtitles. Not only is it an incredibly powerful statement of solidarity, but it's one I _know_ these 7 guys mean when they say it. It kills me so bad I put it into my Twitter display name 😂 I was in the marching band for 5 years back in the day, and this got me mad hype on that end of course. I've also done TONS of choral singing, so it got me mad hype on THAT end as well with the gospel choir on the track. Then you got the stepping... I mean look. Maybe people will come at me for saying this, but I _do not_ mean it in a bad way, I mean it in a GREAT way, because it's fascinating: This production (esp. the video) is, IMO, unlike anything else they (or any other kpop group) have ever done before, in that... it is a deep, _genuine_ merge of Korean and US flavors in a way that goes much further than hip-hop. This is a cultural depth that does not fall into the category of "Americanization," a term that is generally used to connote either assimilation due to pressure *or* shallow mimicry for the sake of appeal. This is, instead, a depth that comes out of a true desire to exchange and experience art with another people. This is not "hamburgers and hot dogs"-level US culture. What we see and hear in this video and song is the same part of the United States that blues music and tap dancing came from. These are things that were born here. Nowhere else. For BTS to choose these musical tools out of everything they have at their disposal and use them to build a song with _this_ message is not meaningless to me. Gospel music is fight music for a reason. I'm not a Christian and I'm not black, but I have loved and listened to gospel since I was a little kid, and I have sung it myself plenty as an adult with women's choirs. I know what it's about and where it came from (as much as, you know, someone like me can). And as I said, I _have_ marched... and that is all about fighting. And not just during a game, either. Yall know anything about marching competitions?! 😂 Your ass is out there in the mud, bro! If I keep typing, I'm never gonna stop. Suffice it to say that this thing makes me wanna both cry and fight a ho. Gonna listen to this EVERY TIME I feel like I can't do it... All that I know is just going on & on & on & *ON!*
@christinagemini91654 жыл бұрын
To further comment on this, Bighit just released an extra mini documentary on recording in US with the UCLA Bruins Marching band for the track, and a gospel choir that worked on both this song, "Outro: Ego" and "Friends" (Jimin and V's track), you should definitely watch / react to that ^_^ BTS (방탄소년단) 'ON' Commentary Film : Dialogue kzbin.info/www/bejne/pKHJpGmXm9t8ns0

@@curvytangerine Not religious any more either (but raised Catholic). Now that you mentioned the gospel choir and the marching band my brain just started to fire and connect (even if I'm completely wrong).One of their 4 concept pictures at the table was called the Last Supper and then the line "find me and I'm gonna bleed with ya" gives me Christian/Jesus vibes like in when you find Jesus (the true religion), he bleeds for the sins of the people (like they are not alone and also related to all the shaddowy things/sins in our minds). And the marching band instantly let me think about the trumpets of Jericho that brought the walls down with consistency. Finally, we got your reaction. It's so funny watching you all trying to contain yourself so much not to pause or comments during your first view. I think all ARMY experience that when this first drop. Your interpretation that the marching band may actually represent ARMY, that's new. I never thought of it like that. That's why I like your reaction. I can learn more from you. Also really liking your comments on the double meaning of 'find me and i'll bleed for you', where it could mean that your friends can come to you and you will fight with them or to say to the haters that you will not back down from them. Again, this is a new perspective for me. So, thanks for giving us such great reaction and insight.

From Twitter @IMJOONSCRAB: "the idea of transformation and renewal by means of the serpent/snake is a well substantiated archetype. It is a healing symbol" -Carl Jung. Tae's marks on the neck represents a snake bite. He is in fact healing from 'the shadow' that has taken control over him. And if you remember the snake statue from their MAMA perf, and how a snake is also one of Dionysus' animals. And how in the Film, they formed a snake head with vmin as fangs and the tubas as eyes. A theory of course but mind. blown.
@Blueish_Blue4 жыл бұрын
@@jennarae237 that makes so much sense. I saw it as some kind of infection spreading or whatever but never linked it to a snake bite. That fits really well with everything else that's been shown. Thanks for letting me know because its been bugging me 💜

And bighit is seeing and supporting that. BTS and bighit are really a synergy art project in today's popular culture... Also, I loved seeing your smiles while u were trying to hold it in during your first watch. Loved Blaze's analysis of the hook and y'all focusing on their dance. Its astonishing how good a job the choreographer does for someone so young, not just with BTS but everyone involved. There are a staggering amount of intricate moves and adjustments that are made to look effortless. BTS always show how hard they work on every aspect of everything they do. You simply cannot deny their work ethic, creativity, performance or anything else you care to name. They don't have a genre they, don't have a style, nothing is set, nothing is off limits and EVERY single member fully contributes. They could go on for the next 50 years and would probably still be surprising everyone and breaking records!

BTS likes to mix old school ballroom dancing, hip hop, contemporarry ballet korean traditional move and all sorts of world dances in one. Bcs jhope comes from hip hop lockin poppin street dancing while jimin ballet and contemporary..often they choreo their own moves, and it looks like they are inspired alot by many western dances of different eras as well. Thats why it look so good and sort familiar but unique...
