Nicely done, the patina of the old RR trestle was interesting too. Thanks for sharing!

Thanks- we thought it a bit strange to leave the trestle up in an urban area- a touch of the past 😊

Happy New Years! This is such a beautiful place to go and take a hike the falls are amazing! We don't have to many water falls in New Mexico and appreciate each fall I have a chance to see. I would love to visit Washington and hike some of your trails. Very beautiful state!

You are putting out the videos, and all of them are very beautiful places. I had to laugh at Steve's comment about lots of people, since yesterday I came home from a 4 night solo backpacking trip and didn't see anyone during the entire trip. Also while backpacking I realized that I could be more clear about the Hero 8 and FPS, which stands for frames per second. So at 30 FPS the camera is taking 30 pictures a second, which is the most common and probably what your camera is capturing. The main reason you would want a higher frame rate, such as 120 FPS, is for slow motion. So if you reduce the play speed of the video to 25% the video would it would be 30 FPS. A video playing below 24 FPS starts to get a little jittery, so you wouldn't want to reduce 120 FPS below 20%. Most smart phones have a slow motion function which shoots at 240 FPS which allows for even more flexibility, but the resolution may only be 720p. Just thought I'd throw this out there just in case you want to play with slow motion in future.

Bryan - Yes, thats’s very helpful-a great technical explanation - makes sense - I’ll play around with the slow motion and see what turns out😊 How was your backpack trip? Do you ever hear or see owls? Must be refreshing to be out on your own - it’s hard to describe when you feel in touch with nature and relaxed😊 Steve would think that’s awesome to have the wilderness to yourself! I’m looking forward to your video! ... and following your adventures in 2020... I’m probably going to get the Hero 8 and give it a try - 🤓🤓

My trip was great Jennifer, except that it rained pretty hard the second night and in the middle of the night a large fell about 50 feet from my tarp and woke me up. Then the next morning I found my food bag laying on the ground, because the tree fell across my bear bag line. That was a first! If you get a Hero 8 and have any questions please feel free to ask and I'll do my best to answer.

@@BryanDeLay wow! That was a very exciting night ! 50’ is pretty close - I’m hoping the critters didn’t find your food. Thanks! I’m 90% sure I’m getting a Hero 8 - people seem to really like it - I’m glad you showed the options and how you’re using it - I want to learn the slo-mo feature 👍👍
