@@jimwillis437. Not necessarily. The Rise on Skywalker continued the economic fall of the Star Wars Universe in film. It made half of what TFA made. By any metric, that signals many do not like how things were going.

I actually like Alien3 (the Assembly Cut) a lot. I'd even go so far as to say it's a better 'Alien' film than Aliens. Xenomorphs work far better when they hide in the shadows picking victims off one at a time rather than being mown down in their hundreds by a squad of gung-ho Space Marines. I'm not even bothered by the off screen deaths of Newt and Hicks... infact I think Newt really had it coming 😡

In the processs of rewatching the series/franchise, and imo the movie doesn't deserve nearly the hate it gets. Nowhere near the first 2, but it's still the movie equivalent of a really good pizza. Nothing mind blowing, but still damn good.

Solo was a mediocre Star Wars movie. But it failed not because its quality, it failed because of the reception of the Last Jedi. Fans were so angry because of TLJ that they had their revenge on Solo. It is always funny to watch when movie industry sponsored sites try to de ny this.

I love Alien 3. It took some balls to kill of Newt and Hicks before the start, and the overall feeling of gloom, decay and death really appeals to me. Alien 2 still seems to be more popular, but I firmly believe that Alien 3 will stand the test of time better and come to be seen as a classic. I would have loved to see Vincent Ward's Name of the Rose in Space concept though!

How is Solo anyones least favorite Star Wars movie? I get that it isn't mindblowing, but it's well ahead of the clusterfuck that is Epsiode 9. Or 7. Or 8. Rogue One is easily the better of the spin-off movies, but Solo is easily a 6/10, maybe a 7. Which, I get, isn't much for a $300,000,000 budget, but... Rise of Skywalker was significantly more expensive, and that one hurt watching. 2/10 would be generous. The visuals were above the average blender+ue5 fan project (although a lot of that will probably get lost on anything but a really fancy screen at home), but the plot was written by ChatGPT on crack with hardly any cues from Episode 8... 09:56 No idea who that guy is, haven't watched the movie, and it's not very likely I ever will, but with all those "slightly" underwhelming CGI explody destruction going on, those shots make Secrets of Dumbledore look more like a low budget clone of a Falling in Reverse music video than a TWO HUNDRED million dollar movie.

There is no world where Solo is the least liked Star Wars movie. I understand throwing curveballs into lists to get hate clicks and comments, but this is just wildly inaccurate. First your writer and narrator should realize that "Director" and "Actor" are not interchangeable words, then maybe give Rise of Skywalker another watch.

actually I dislike the prequels more than Solo, and the sequels even more... Solo was a disappointment to be sure, and honestly it establishes the problem of Kennedy's oversight. She clearly cannot do franchise...

The big reason Solo was such an absolute failure, besides just being a bad film, was how absolutely uneeded and even harmful to the franchise it felt. A bit part of Han Solo's character was the mystery of his past. Taking that mystery away reduces his character rather than builds on it and a film centered around him just felt like a "Wait ... who asked for this?" kind of film.

If anything,it needed a few nods to the character connections previously established in the trilogy (Greedo, The Fetts, Hutts & a better connection with Landon IMHO) give more significance to the dice & then have him leave Quira to work for a 😉 reference to Jabba the Hutt
