some of this comics that every one says its bad or should never existed, they forget that being a super hero is gruesome, and has a lot of things that shock us to the core, spider-man is made to be that easy colorful fantasy where the hero always gets back up again and win, but spider-man proved time and time again that its not, thats why i love these comics, they show how hard, dangerous and gruesome it is to be spider-man

If memory serves, it is because Peter´s "consciousness" still existed deep down in his body, and was eventually able to regain control when Doc Oc decides to give back control out of the blue. So yeah, just as you imagined, some really big BS right there. Status Quo is God, I guess.
